I don't thank you :D:D

But this isn't about me and my OCD collection of wheels and tyres :D:D:D

Its for Sarah90, I dont think she has seen your post yet :D

Dave has a working heater....well when I say heat I mean air blowing slightly warm :D

But its better than going numb because I was having to drive with my window down!

Happy Days:cool2:

Dave also has diff guards, no thanks to the people who supplied them

Where are the pics of Sarah modifying them with the angle grinder :D:D:D

looking back for the pics, came across the antifreeze saga. never have I seen owt as funny, how many wimmins does it take to top it up, and what size funnel!
:pound::pound::pound::pound::pound:

as for the diff guards, never fitted qt stuff before.
anyone else has issues with bolt holes not lining up under the diff, nose of rear guard smacking drive flange, front guard fouling vibration damper?

anyway, laff at the pics......:pound:

You did put the 2mm steel plate that goes through the diff retaining bolts on first and put the bolts in loosely first as per the instructions i take it? ;)

I had no problems with mine but there are different ones for different years. Is Dave on his original axles?

Sarah where are your leather work gloves when using a grinder? the disc leaves nasty wounds and cuts take forever to heal. And a full face shield?

Now here's the thing, I can't decide between papers in the pouch or not. When in the pouch, you don't drop/lose them so easy, but they get all manky. Although I am test running a metal tin just now as I kept setting the pouch on fire when welding

I offered Sarah my leather work gloves :angel:

The fact that I use them when mucking the horses out might have something to do with her refusing them :pound::pound::pound:

And the anti freeze technique worked very well Neil :p:p:p

We removed 2 litres of water with the syringe and then filled it with 2 litres of antifreeze. The water is now a really nice pink colour (might swap my boring blue water for this in the future ) and for once we didn't make a mess :p:p:p:p

yes.
the instructions didn't seem to relate to the axle, tho I didn't read them fully
will get some pics next time its in, just for you :p
and no idea

safety equipment was available and a verbal risk assessment given :p

well aint that just it!
papers in the pouch tend to stick the gum together, so I don't do it.
I find buying bulk boxes of papers, using some, leave the pack laying about, have spare packs in various pockets, means there's allus some somewhere.
do find if i'm careless with the pouch tho, it gets spark eaten or half dissolves thru contact with brake fluid.
on the flip side, every so oft, a smoky rolled with oily fingers tastes great.
got the tin too, tho that's emergency back up.

Emergency backup is the Mrs' baccy tin :pound:

Yes I put the plate on first and I put the bolts in loosely  ..when I ordered them (after being asked if I was buying them as a present for someone :mad:) the guy on the other end of the phone apologised and then started to explain how to fit them!
...they did send the wrong destructions for the rear diff guard but I figured that out before fitting which Neil did (thanks):p
Dave is unique so obviously some minor adjustments had to be made so they would fit:D

I did wear some fetching yellow safety glasses to cut the diff guard btw:D

As for the whole topping up of anti freeze thing- I don't know what Neil found so amusing about my funnel!:p
