Trouble is so many things are happening right now in my life ..

We had a couple of motorbikes stolen in 2006, one of which I still have the V5 for (the other was never registered 'cos it was a competition Trials bike) and I received a number of NIP's for speeding offences last month! Turns out, the chap I bought it off years ago lives in the area where the offences occurred .. and as it was stolen without a number plate ... and I can prove it's mine, I might be getting that back now! And I've been speaking with, exchanging emails with Police and generally trying to keep out of court for it as I'm the last registered owner .. even though DVLA told Police I no longer have the bike!

Son was home, quite ill for a couple of weeks, sister had another horse die a few days ago .. Mum also fell ill a fortnight ago, nephew is having issues .. just so much going on my head's spinning!

No worries though, just an odd time!

blimey, things are hectic for you, well you need to take care of yourself before anyone else paul.no use to anyone if you fall ill through worry and/or stress is it.keep yer chin up mate,it will all come good eventually.:tea::tea:

:(
at 65 years of age, I`ve been faced with some "challenges" in life at times Paul.
In retrospect, I told myself it was as if I was being "tested"
it was a challenge someone (no names no pack drill, but its spelled GOD)
set out for me to see if either I cracked,
or just got on with it and overcome.
I chose the latter, and its because of our inbuilt ability to face things head on, then only decied the best way out of it succesfully.
sometimes we trip up, but regaining both feet on the ground gives us prospective of - right, what needs sorting first ;)

then after the ****e has settled, the dust has gone,
then sit and worry about a once flooded bloody landrover eh.

who first put - "Chose life" first on landrovers....lol.....lol...

Heh, well I'm 54, the Landy being swept away was only the third time I've been truly scared for my life .. 1st when I was in a roof fall down the pit, broke my neck and had to dig myself out between consciousness and not, 2nd when 10m down in the Mediterranean and lost my mask and air supply ... but it's this one that's given me a bit of an epiphany .. Not really like faith or a religion, more just a sense of being happy with what I have, not worrying what I don't have, loving those close to me, and valuing friends!

The 'old' me is still there, partly, but right now I'm in a very good place and feeling positive that things will get even better.

Stuff happens, and will continue to do so, but it's not getting me down .. ;)

Yeah chest is all OK now, thanks. I have a good constitution as my grandma used to say!

After a few days of messing about, I basically slept for two days, about, and just sort of sweated it out.

Humph! Popped over to the workshop tonight to give Dave a check up and do the diff oils etc....wtf Dave!?!

The first pic is the crud that came out of the front diff after some ep90 was put in:(
The others is something leaking out of the rear diff...looks like a mixture of ATF and something else...
It would appear that ATF has been put everywhere..instead of EP90:confused: Same went for the transfer box but now its late and I am confused as to what should be where and non of it seemed right:rolleyes:

if its red then its from gear box which would be front bearing cover or seal ,but slave and crank seal can also cause leak there ,though its rare to see a perfectly dry landy

That might normally be true James, but who knows with Dave. He had ATF in the diffs and the transfer box and he has pink antifreeze which is also leaking from somewhere :D

The first pic shows the diff oil which came out of mine when we checked it on the left and Sarahs on the right. Trouble is there wasn't much of anything in it when Neil checked, so he filled it up and that brown muck came out.

brown is because its had water in it

Sarah you also forgot the two bodged up propshafts which aren't balanced and the donut he has destroyed in a few hundred miles
