Why???

I do a good mix of town and motorway driving to work and back, I drive like a granny, rarely opening her up unless I have too...and I get 15.3mpg on LPG although this has dipped a tad recently to 15.12mpg...from my records it happened when I fitted the bulbar so this is expected...

Why do you think you should get more than 15mpg??

Best I have ever done is 17.3mpg on a looooong trip to Castleford last summer to get a wheelnut off....worst was 11mpg in the Isle of Wight greenlining!
 
My dash read out on a 100 mile run today was 20mpg but my actual lpg mpg was 13mpg. This seems less than it should be to me. I should be getting over 15mpg easily seeing as you're getting that with a lower dash readout of 18mpg.

With these rates the price of running it on lpg only 20% less than petrol at best for me.

Now you placed a brim to brim calc against the dash reading it is easy to see the difference, I think it is time to get the LPG system serviced and the fuel trims reset, plus the constant CEL and lambda warnings could suggest it is over fueling on gas....
 
Yep, thanks saint I agree. True mpg figure should be around 18mpg when the dash os saying 20 so somethings amiss. Good thinking on it being related to the codes as well. If I was overfuelling then will I notice a smell of lpg? Not noticed anything at all but will keep my nose open!

I know its hard to complain about mpg figures with such a car but in some ways its even more important to ensure the car is running as it should. 13mpg rather than 18mpg is almost £2500 more over a year for me which is a significant amount of cash by any means. You shouldn't be worried to ensure thats correct.

On a more positive note, I have found away to keep the suspension in my preferred lowered setting. While access mode cannot be locked in place, motorway mode can. Just get the car up to 70mph for 30 secs and when the mororway mode light comes on, lock it in place with the button. Did this yesterday and even this morning it started right away in motorway mode. Can't fault it whatsoever!
 
If you can get £6,500 for it, which i doubt do it NOW. Will save a lot of headaches.:D

well done, see you are learning how to second guess these fecking things already, i look at them like a very difficult puzzle which present you with a new challenge as soon as you solve one of them:D
 
My 4.6 gives around the 18.6 on a long run, sometimes it's up to 20.2 for a while but doesn't stay there! Around town returns 9.6, all these are based on the computer and I have only worked out a long run once and found it to be very accurate at 18.6 to the gallon.
Having said that on the same trip, about 150 miles each way, driving with enthusiasm I still get about the same 17.9 to 18.4 according to the computer. I am running petrol only.

blimey, if i drove 300 miles with enthusiasm i couldn't afford to eat for a month.. if i drive like miss daisy the trick computer shows around 23 on a long run

Ah the pleasure of diesel, I get close to 30mpg brim to brim on long motorway runs, my mates L322 does even better and with diesel at £1.08 a litre over here you can keep you gas guzzlers:D

i only bought my v8 because a) its a V8 and 2) it sounds like a v8....:p

and as far as living in france, even asylum seekers dont want to live there, oh hang on what have i started..............:D

I don't want sound from my Range Rover, I want silence and economy, if I want sound I have a sports car and until recently a motorbike.:)

Asylum seekers know where they will be featherbedded, the French government does not waste tax payers money supporting immigrants legal or illegal, instead they help them on their way to the European dumping ground otherewise known as the UK:p
 
The French have always seen France being there for the French....similar to USA, sign up to become full fledged citizen of their state and ways of doing things or naff off

thought that might liven things up a bit..;)

i totally agree and i do have an old zx7r as well with a sports exhaust, but also a vw diesel when i run out of pocket money to put in the range or the bike :)

i cant really justify any reason why i bought the range rover apart from i think its looks and drives nice and dont sound too bad either

i reckon australia have got it about right when it comes to running their country
 
Not sure about the Ozzies getting it right...anti-cars, especially big engined cars from overseas aren't they?
