Help wanted, friends...
Fuel filter warning light came on...TD5 Auto X .reg
Changed the filter and now it wont start.
Done the usual trick, of , ignition on and pressing accelerator pedan a few times, but to no avail...
Any ideas???

do a search for "TD5 purge" and follow the instructions exactly
 
Have tried everything that was suggested, but still wont fire up...
Perhaps I should threaten it, like Basil Fawlty did???????????????????
 
you must still have an airlock somewhere-bleed it fully again-as soon as you have fuel injected in at compression she will fire-try cracking injector pipes to see if fuel is getting to the injectors,while someone cranks it over for you.Did you brim the new filter with fuel before you put it on?
 
Must admit I didnt brim it...but change the filter every 12 months.......as we go to France a lot and have experience of crap Gazole and have never had this problem before
Have a new Battery..fitted today...no change
