Hello Guys

Looking for a bit of help, i've recently converted the side lights and indicators to the Wipac LED conversions.

Problem im having is all of a sudden the right indicator when put on is turning the hazards on.

Left is fine but the right just goes to hazards

Hi Mate I had the same problem. It isn't a short it's just that the relay isn't up to the job. I got one of these and problem solved. it's a voltage leak is all. RDX explain the issue on their ad and don't bother shoving diodes in, it's easier to get one of these adjustable higher amp relays instead!

If you have a single telltale at the dash and you fit the diodes to allow current to flow towards the bulb only and you don't have something else going on, then yes, they should do the trick.

Right i braved it and took the Dash out and took the bulb out of the tell tail. no supprise it all started working fine. ive ordered some Diodes from flea bay and will fit this weekend thanks guys! i can indicate on roads again haha its just the little things isnt it :D

On the down side, in typical land rover tradition. I fixed the indicators and the Horn has stopped working hahaha not a fuse so ill have to dig deeper

They crave attention.. :)

If people really cannot solder you can buy crimp able diodes from an auto electrical place for about a pound each....

Basically like the above although you can get the with bullet crimps (like on a Mk1 mondeo). They have a male and female terminal on them as they are directional (the female is on the opposite end to the male one which you can see). Basically all you would do with the above is to chop both indicator wires in turn and attach a male spade crimp to the end of the wire which is nearest the clocks and a female to the end going to the rest of the loom then plug them in.

The Jaguar part number for these is AAU5034J but they are very non specific.

These diodes are really very useful for your toolbox too as they can be used to switch things on from another source without that source switching on the other thing....

In their defence, I've checked the Maplin website - it was 98p for two. So not as bad - still a rip off, obviously.

At that price I'd just use the ones above which are then easily removable and replaceable plus it's a very tidy option.

you got a link to them cowaski thats straight up my street is that ha

pulled the trigger to early on the standard diodes

Go to Brit-car.co.uk and search for the jaguar part number. They are about £1.30 there plus postage or any electrical motor place will do them for about a pound. I used Brit-car's image hence knowing that they sell them but they are only ordered to fulfil an order so will take a few days

£1.11 +VAT + Delivery from Jaguar direct. They obviously haven't discovered Land Rover's spare pricing strategy yet.
