The Shutters are by Dover and pretty similar to the shutters we have on our Hilux fire waggon at work but white seems to be its original colour. They're good quality but they are pretty noisy when you're driving so I will be changing them over the next few weeks (theres no money in kebabs anymore):(

Maybe they'd be good for an overland trailer?

More uses than that me thinks...mobile mechanics or tree surgions anyone self employed from pest control to plumbers would be interested.

Maybe good for someone looking to expand into events catering? Does @Coffeelandy have this sort of set-up?

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to figure out the past of my 2014 110 but it didn't come with any history. It has Dover shutters but not the usual ones that are cut into the tub like utility companies and there is no paneling inside (well not anymore).

Anyone seen these before or know what the van might have been used for?

Defoe ex utility for a power company would make a perfect coffee machine too!!

Must be ex plumbers as the roof rack has a 22mm push fit end cap over the chopped rack, well looks that way anyway!

Nice camper conversion coming up?

Could you take any of the rattle out with self adhesive foam strips along the shut lines?
I did think about that but the tolerance is a bit too close, don't think i'd be able to close or open them if I did.

(Never thought I'd use the words close and tolerance when talking about a defender)

Haha, well I fitted the roof rack myself and cut the side bars so I could fit the roof tent and yes, It is a 22mm push fit end cap.

There was me thinking no-one would notice, well spotted Retneprac you have a keen eye :)

Well not bad for an ex chippie! must have spent too much time looking at unfinished plumbing!

Well thanks for all your thoughts and advice, I guess It's past will remain a mystery. Soon the shutters will be off and the camper conversion will commence.
