98 DSE on 208,000 miles with original engine. Just did a big service with the help of my mechanic acquaintance, changed engine oil, diff oil, auto box oil and filter, put in a used viscous coupling, new 1000ccc diesel spec battery, replaced injector leak-off pipes, new beru glow plugs, new inlet manifold gaskets, replaced 3 gaskets in fuel injection pump, re-calibrated the FIP, dropped the fuel tank and replaced in tank fuel pump. Now works great.

You didn't grease your prop UJs - hah, call that a service!!!!

My2000 2.5 DHSE 78k miles !! All original , no mods , everything still works !!!!
P.s needs a little love now and again ?? Just to keep him happy:)
(rain water loves to get inside these motors)

My Range Rover P38 which i've had for a couple of months - bought on Ebay - has 116000 miles on clock. Runs well. Ususal bits and pieces of electrics don't work. Cruise Control doesn't work. Radio/stereo doesn't work. For what i shall want it (the radio) I thought to buy a Piopneer ubit on offer from Halfords but their fitter couldn't make it work because of the amplifiers in the speakers. Anybody out there got round this? Cheers

I've just bought a '97 HSE 4.6 with LPG - with 185K on the clock...

Am I mad? Perhaps, but everything actually works at the moment and apart from a bit of saggy headlining in the back and a couple of tired patches in the leather, she's immaculate! Will see if I can get some pics and post at the weekend... It's good to see others going strong at similar mileage. Previous owner seems to have spent a fortune so perhaps not much left for me to do... then again perhaps I'm deluded? :D
