my LSE running a 5.0 from a TVR , every thing else is original except n/s cv joint and the viscous coupling . and before some smart arse say's it no the pads are not the originals . 220000 miles and still eating petrol like it's £1.00 a gallon

I was talking to the guy who sold me mine and he said I had put more miles on it in one year than he had in five years. 30,000 or so.

Plus, he said that if I ever choose to sell it, he wants to buy it back!:D

Would I be right in assuming that your climate is kinder to these rust prone old girls than it is here in the UK?

Mine is an old guy, but I would assume that your assumption is correct. I live the high desert, which is a plus. However, the local counties use manganese chloride on the roads as a de-icer in the winter. That stuff is hell on metal and wiring on the underside of the vehicle. So far, only minor blemishes but rust is still an issue, just not to the extent of Landies who have never left home.

My 1990 3.9 Vogue SE has completed 94k miles and she's still a sweet heart to drive.

My '91 3.9 Vogue SE is on a mere 94,000. Engine is pretty good but rear crank seal is weeping a bit. Just finishing off major rot repairs - cills, boot floor, wheel arches, rear cross member but looking good considering the abuse I have given it.

I also have a '93 LSE with 137k on it - it is an absolute rot box and is my next project, I bought it as a non runner, it had been stood for over a year in a barn, stuck a new starter motor on it and it fired up straight away. Should be good when its finished.

147k on my 73 classic. Nice original car, just had a few bits of work (all documented) over last 40 years, such as new engine, Box, been re-shelled etc!!! When I say original.......
Not one of those ID swap jobbies though, I'd have bought a '72 for that and got the free road tax!

I have a 84 Vogue 3.5 carb, she is on 123513 I have done about 5 of them, all off road. bought 5 years ago as a project, still on going

My '93 K LSE has done 103k and (touch wood!) is still running nicely. Had a new viscous coupling and OSF drive shaft earlier in the year and sailed through the MOT with no issues. Can't beat it for bringing a smile to my face every time I start her up!!:crazy_driver:

Just bought a 88 classic
