I have a 2010 Freelander 2. I love it and want to keep it running as long as possible. I dread the day It dies!
Its on more than 213k at the moment: i bought it on 25k at 2 years old. Most of it is motorway miles but it is also used fod towing 1-2 per week.

Always serviced regularly and had all belts changed at 150k as recommended.

Current problems;
failure of front wipers (motor)-fixed by LR main dealer for a small fortune as its November and was snookered without them.
Day after the front wipers were fixed the rear wiper motor has gone and since landrover faffed about with the front one the bonnet sensor is reading bonnet open even when its not!
Also front track rod end gone so needs done plus tracking and 2 new tyres its booked into my friendly non extortionate garage next week
I have ordered a new motor for rear wiper and a new bonnet catch/sensor and am hoping to fix these myself when theu show up! Wish me luck!

Wow, and welcome to the forum.
At 213k miles (not km, I assume) you're pushing the boundaries and the rest of us will be interested in what goes wrong next. Nothing you've listed is unexpected, given your mileage (IMHO). Is yours manual or auto, does it burn any oil, have you had the haldex & diff serviced?

PS. My 57 plate FL is now >190k miles.

Yes I do mean Miles! See pic
All these faults have been in the last week and today the latest thing to go is the passenger side electric window. It will go down and up if i hold it but if i flick it up it goes to the top and then back down again. Need to research this problem and see if thats an easy fix but I'm beginning to think it could be toast for my landy unfortunately which I feel really sad about as I love it. But it owes me nothing and I can't keep throwing money at it if it manages to findsda new fault every day my parts are arriving this week for bonnet and rear wiper so will see if i can sort them.

133,000 when bought last year. Now this may have put others off buying the vehicle - being a petrol i6. However I read the entire advert which showed that at 114,000 Land Rover fitted a brand new engine and drivetrain to the vehicle. I ended up with a real bargain. All the trouble areas people worry about past the 100,000 mile mark are all done and replaced by Land Rover with brand new parts. I also have all the LR main dealer receipts to prove the above.
Currently showing 136,000.
what are the problem areas after 100.000 as I am thinking of buying one

Mechanically, not much as long as it's been looked after correctly, although it's common for the rear diff to fail, or at least go noisy. The engine in mine is now fine physically, the pistons and bearings are showing absolutely zero wear after 119k.
Unfortunately mine has had a moron working on it, which is where the main issue lies.

Electronically they a about 1000 times more complicated than the FL1, so most issues seem to be related to complicated electronics.

Mine is an SE making it a step or two below the top model, and I've counted 19 electronic modules, that's excluding another 7 for the audio/nav system, so there's a lot of techie stuff to potentially cause issues.

Driving wise, it's miles better than the FL1.
