My Disco 2 is now on 180000 miles
Air suspension out but other than that its all going great not bad for a 2003 model

168,000 on ours and going strong. Just replaced the injector loom and AFM, and removed the egr valve so bring on the miles :)

I have a 2000-2001 manual td5 got it for £2000 with 167000 full service history and it's currently at 181000 and I'm absolutely loving it.

2002 TD5 - 118500 miles - last owner had it for ten years, he got it with 4000 miles on it. Some stamped service history, rest was done by garage and owner 'forgot' to have it stamped, suspect it hasnt seen a proper mechanic for a few years as it has few signs of neglect such as brakes nearing end of life and gear box oil shot. Paid £2500 for it. Ive had it two weeks, removed egr, remapped (map-tech of brigg), cleaned MAF and MAP sensors, new intercooler hoses, new rear wiper motor, gearbox oil change (was like grey sludge!), new HD drag link and steering rod (paddock). Plans are to tint windows, replace disks and pads, replace shock absorbers (tis a little wobbly and bushes knackered on old original ones), find out why my air con doesnt work and replace a few bulbs that are out on the dash. Turns first turn of the key and goes like a rocket. 26mpg average, but thats my heavy right foot I suspect.

1999 with 124 k.. had a new fuel pump in the tank at 123k. New front prop at 120 k.

Before me its its had 2 new injectors, egr blanking, and major gaskets changed.

It takes a good turning over on a cold start but i think thats expectable from a direct injection vehicle.

Other than that its got full service history and drives really well.

Provisionally i need to put some love into the steering box to fettle the play in it.

Mine starts as soon as you turn the key, are you waiting for the glow plug light to extinguish or maybe have a problem with them?

My new truck is a Td5 2003 facelift it has 240 thousand miles on the clock and a good service history drives well auto box does what it says on the tin ,rains monsoon stylie inside (<jobs pending>) steering a bit vague but goes like a steam train after the auto box ecu was reset and it learned my driving style (was like playing Russian roulette at junctions and roundabouts). My freelander Td4 2002 is at 174 thousand miles drives like a new car everything tight and precise .

2003 YM V8 - 115 000. FSH, Sweet as a nut. Just had a new ignition barrel, SLS pump and one suspension airbag.
