I've parted with my TD4 a month now - now driving a Saab 9-3 SW - and I still miss it.

Can't really explain, but driving it was more fun than any other thing and I drove an M113 and derivatives! :mil80:

Yup, I couldn't affrod to run any of the others so it's just right for me.
hiya, i was looking at a disco 2, bot unfourtunatley, the fuel consumption was lousey, i do 12000 miles a month, but, to be honest, i've driven both, & i love the freelander, as i keep saying, it's a great vehicle :lvheart-beat-019: it to bit's (despite it costing me £245 already:Cry: lol), martyn

I've got both! Yup it's crap on fuel! But a great work horse! 'till it broke:(

Had mine for 5 months and its brilliant for everything that I need it to do, problems yes it has some but I hope to get round to fixing everything and that makes it one of my hobbies too.
Way better than our previous LWB Vitara, our lass used to get headache sitting in the back coz she would hit her head on the roof with every bump in the road...although the Vit never let me down once in 3 years the Freelander does but theres something about it to forgive it every time.

yep, they do seem to have a unique character :D:D:D

I reckon it's one the Alfa Romeos of the 4x4 world. Not generally reliable, but you'll forgive it every time :D!

Mine pushed the limits of reliability! Never let me stranded, even though I drove more than 100Kms with no coolant:eek: and almost no fuel. It was a scary (but confident) trip. I had had it for two weeks and had no idea it was losing coolant (t'was a TD4, not the 1.8).

The Freelander won't take you fast, it will take you further:D

LOL if it was a 1.8 you would have had HGF when it lost more than 5 ml of coolant :D.
