Stripped out the dash. Great opportunity to examine and clean the inside of the bulkhead. Removed some rather nasty carpet underlay and globs of black mastic below the windscreen in front of the top pad.
Created and fitted new loom for rear wash wipe and heated rear screen. A test a patience threading it through the chassis rail
All ready to refit the instrument binnacle and switches next time and fit the new real washer nozzle. Hopefully completing this round of electricals if I can get a replacement fuel sender for the faulty new BritPart one I bought.

Took her for a MoT and failed!
Reason - o/s/f/upper suspension component ball joint excessively worn; advisory: slight seepage from power steering component.
A couple of shims removed and then got a pass. CO 0.747% HC 164ppm.
Only one shim left so a new bearing needed in the near future.

Pulled the props and handbrake off the S3. All to be cleaned up and ready to transplant onto the new chassis. Though I mightbjabe to wait a little before the props make it across, a gearbox might be useful 1st!

Gave landy S2a a service today inc changing the oil in the gearbox and trannybox and replaced the leaking engine oil breather ( 200tdi ) for an Allisport one :)

This week...sound deadening material fitted to new floors, bulkhead, gearbox tunnel, seat box and doors...then today have made new military centre dash binnacle from 1mm 304 stainless ready for 2x usb & 1x cigar lighter sockets + Carling front fog light and sucker fan switches.

Anyone else find it therapeutic panel beating, scribing and drilling out a plain piece of metal into something useful??

Had a trip to the pigeon tower...

Well, i'm about to stick some wd40 on the handbrake linkage as it seems to not travel as far as it used to and is a little stiff.

Then i'll be draining the radiator, flushing and refilling. Any tips/wise words are appreciated. :D

It’s almost been a week now and all seems great with the reconditioned 150A alternator in my Disco 2 V8. I’ve been monitoring the alternator Voltage output on my iPad with the UltraGauge Blue app & OBD dongle and the voltage is still around 13.7 - 14.1VDC.

Today I finally installed the steering wheel RH horn spring that I lost 2 years ago out my window on the motorway. I did this mod per the YouTube video. It keeps the horn buttons from sitting too high on the steering wheel...
