Drilled and retapped the threads of my galved bulkhead. Smoothed down any sharp points of galv. scraped out dirt and muck in any of the corners. Ready for the t wash.
Don't know when I will have time for that, swmbo wants me to skim over a boarded up doorway.

Well, like an eejut, I jumped to the conclusion that the leak all over my starter motor and bellhousing was coming from the fuel pressure regulator because this is talked about so frequently, ordered the parts and gdasket etc, and cleaned up the area the night before, checked last night and found that actually, it's not the fpr at all..it was the rocker gasket leaking at the back, and dripping down onto the fpr! Ah ha, that would explain why the leak looked more oily than diesel!! I changed this 30k ago, along with the injector loom so was a bit surprised and initially I worried that the rings were on the way out causing pressure up top... But I think it's just due replacement and maybe I hadn't got it aligned perfectly before... Anyway picked up gasket and new oe injector loom this morning, and, job done! :)

Pics for the sake of it with the old loom in place!

Sorting out chassis, outriggers and side steps. Jenolite, zinc primer, satin black top coat tomorrow (weather permitting) or Dinitrol.
Side step plates getting a blast of raptor black before I put them back

Quite pleased, 20 year old chassis seems to be holding up well :)

after fitting new wiper "cog-wire", wiper units and arms a couple of weeks back the left wiper progressively got worse until it barely twitched with the wipers on. Drivers side was perfect. As my dash is in a permanent state of easy access I could see that the wiper spindle wasn't turning when the gear rotated. Took it apart and it looks like the cog is only press fitted onto the spindle, no keyway or locking. I took a pillar drill to the cog/spindle to create a bit of a keyway and did a very nasty spot weld (ran out of gas last week) to keep the two together. Put it all back and now works a treat, just a shame every single job needs doing twice and fettling.

Fitted roof bars that I managed to find from a breakers in Coventry.
'Fixed' rear indicator bulb holder, then ordered new rear indicator bulb holder after bending the contacts for the last time!

Fitted a Dashcam, changed the wiperblades, 4 Wheel Alignment done, got the steering angle recalibrated (Witchcraft), got the rest of the dog hair out of the carpets, removed the carseatcovers, fed the premium leather, went playing down a part flooded lane to figure out what some of the driving programmes do.....

It’s a bit of a change from a Defender

Hopefully fixed oil leak from rocker cover gasket. Fitted a new injector loom a month ago and the half moon at the back hasn't seated properly. Then took it for a long test ride around the back roads.

Full service, diff oils etc, strip brakes, new softer front springs so now it doesn’t feel like the axle is welded to the chassis, all in all she’s like a new pin

I fixed both rear electric windows on my Disco 2 this morning. I though both had duff switches so swapped one of the switches from the centre console on to the rear door. It still didn't work, but happened to have noticed a spare wire behind the centre switch panel. It turned out the brown connector for the rear window lock switch had come off, stopping the rear door switches from working! I was more than chuffed to have done a free fix on it.
