Yesterday actually, but on a rare dry day I completed some satisfying jobs on the Def 90 - fitted MUD seat rails on drivers side (I like a high position in the Disco 5), freed-up the seized side steps, and while I’d got the WD-40 out I similarly eased an almost-seized tailgate door lock - handle now lifts with little more than finger pressure!

Loads more issues still to address...

This fortnight: Fitted new battery, new alternator, flushed intake pipe, new fuel regulator & seal kit, disconnected oil-vapour-to-turbo-line. Reinstated everything to find trans leak at cooler pipe (header). Removed and currently welding up...

Spent twenty minutes in the pouring rain mucking about with dud rear lamp.. new bulb, switching the bulb from the other side...
realised there was nothing wrong with the bulb and finally figured out that the blown fuse responsible is inside in the dry.. Berk :D

Attempted to remove bits ready for the new starter .. tool boxes out, boards under to crawl on, battery undone 'just in case' .. bloody started bloody bastid raining again. And not nice, little rain, bloody big feckin' bastid style buckets o' rain. Cleaned up, went in, had a nap ... been in a bad mood all day since ...

I know that feeling, plus my timing belt and water pump did not turn up until it was getting dark, got the water pump on, timing belt is for the morrow.

Cheers

Did a full lube change over Christmas in similar conditions. The stuff you gotta do hey?

Trouble is I work from 5.30am till 9.30, then back again from 2.30pm till 6, which makes 5 hours off, but I have to get fed, watered, showered, start a job, finish it, or a part of it and pack away in that 5 hours! I need a garage ...

finished replacing Wiper Wheel boxes that i've been putting off for ages because it's a dash out job. They work now which is an improvement and a lost memory card fell out of the dash from Greenlaning in Wales last year :D Result!

Dropped the fenderer off for her MOT this morning, picking it up a 6 this evening! Just as i was walking away from it I noticed the rubber on the ball join on the drop arm is split, so that's a fail, but asked them to replace the rubber so hopefully all will be well! Bloody typical though, spent most of Sunday pressure washing her off and checking lights etc, only to notice that at the very end!! Doh!!
