God NO, one is more than enough.
But keeping the one I have in the shed for when needed is something worth thinking about.

UMMM, this comes to mind though;
What's the difference between a women and a dog ?
Lock both in the shed for three hours and when you return the dog is happy to see you.

Well the starter motor is now fitted, but it was taken out due to it having a sticky solenoid, so as I didn't have time to mess about swapping solenoids over it'll have to come out again soon.
 
well I managed to get most of the paint off!! one blob on my face needed the razor this morning!! white spirit may have been nicer.
 
LED spots and roof bar lights all wired up. Valve stem seals all replaced and my blue haze of smoke when pulling away has disappeared. Have to wait till it gets dark so I can line the spots up.

fitted rear fog light switch and tried to decipher the wiring-fu that had been done to the headlights/toggle switch that was where the fog light switch should go...
discovered a 20A fuse that just keeps going pop, not even sure what its for yet.

And after that, it now won't start :mad:, turns over fine just won't fire. I'm thinking I may have knocked the connection to the fuel shut off valve off the ignition switch whilst monkeying around with the electrics...
 
Crawled underneath it to remove the plastic wrapped round the prop then swore at it a lot when I seen the sump is seeping oil. Was happy enough when it was just the back of the transfer box marking its territory every now and then
 
Fixed my non-starting issue - had knocked the fuel shut off valve connector off the ignition switch when monkeying behind the dash yesterday:rolleyes:

Got my first landy wave as well today:cool:
 
Did a couple of tip runs with trailer then took 90 to a local jet wash place to get all the mud off it after being on the off road course at Peterborough last weekend :D
 
Fitted new bulbs in speedo and gauges and also replaced all bulbs in warning light binnacle,happy chappy managed to get everything working including the diff-lock light and the high beam,then I stuck some sound proof matting in the footwells and over the gearbox tunnel :)
 
Much tinkering today :D

My 90 gained a proper front recovery point, a switch inside the back door for the interior light (it doesn't come on when you open the doors) and a dixon bate pinball towbar. On Nick's Disco, we sorted a clonk from the rear axle (took it apart and reassembled which seemed to cure the problem) and changed the injector leak-off pipes which had been... leaking. Roger's Range Rover was running rough, which we traced to a fuel filter which was about 80% full of water!

Also had a look around a 101 ambulance- brilliant truck for taking to shows as you can sleep comfortably in the back!
 
Rear silencer fell off today :(

Full system already ordered from Paddock's, de-cat non flexy downpipe, sports center pipe and rear box :p
 
I was up and under the defender at 6:50am this morning to re-connect the rear prop then refill the axle oil, also checked the breather so fingers crossed all should be leak free on the rear axle! Just be puddle of oil in a different area now!!
Going to take it for a quick spin then little later it will be a trip to halfrauds for some engine oil and then I can give it a service whilst dinner is cooking!! Good Sunday
 
The LED spots and roof bar lights are brilliant, just like driving in daylight. On coming traffic are quick to dip there lights.
Spent the morning stripping the heater box. New heater matrix fitted. Insulated the outside of the heater box under the bonnet. Checked all the heater vents were clear. Hopefully now I might get some heat coming through. Also tighten up the doorsso they seal better and cut out the drafts from around the door. Greased the prop shafts ready for the winter.
 
Sworn at the contemptuous contraption after another ride home on the big yellow taxi last night because the drop arm ball joint, fitted 2 weeks ago, shook itself to pieces.
Panhard rod bushes getting done this week should, I bloody hope, eliminate the vibration that done it.
 
Fitted 150db air horn as was did up with pathetic standard horn checked all wires to new oil pressure switch as light still staying on
 
how does your grill stand up to connecting and disconnecting the andersons? does it flex about alot?

It's actually bolted to the metal plate (the one with the holes in), not the grill. I just cut a hole for it to stick through. I can take some closer pics if you like
