Started fitting an LED lightbar into my front grill

got it muddy and washed it, drove 80 odd miles up the motorway to pick up some spares and brought it back rotten so washed it again!
 
I've been watching the headliner in the rear getting lower and lower over the past few months. Seeing as replacements are often rather expensive, I had a bit of a fiddle with it just now. Taking the interior light off reveals that this is attached to a backplate which was floating but, I discovered there's a rib down the inside of the roof which it can be attached to with self tapping screws. I was as careful as I could be, so as not to accidentally drill a hole in the roof. Now the headliner is held up by the interior light fitting, and it looks like there is a lot more room in the back. I see it's made of a pressed fibre/cardboard kind of material, so no wonder it sagged. Then the interior lights wouldn't work at all. I must have accidentally shorted something while I was fiddling, because one of the fuses on the bulkhead had blown. I can't find any spares - I could have sworn I bought some a couple of years ago and I can't have used them already. Time for another trip to Halfords.
 
Just went to have a look to see whether I've got any fault codes and my Nanocom didn't seem to be working. It turns out that the fuse I blew earlier was needed for the diagnostic socket as well as the interior light. Borrowed a fuse from somewhere else and it worked perfectly. No faults, apart from the usual ones of 'tachometer drive open load' and 'gearbox/abs drive open load', which is not surprising as I have neither a tachometer nor ABS.

Just to add to the jealousy towards Merkins, my North America spec Rangie has it's own code display under the passenger seat. Of course I leave the covering panel removed, because I need to check the codes at least twice a week. :D
 
Full service for the big lad, gearbox and transfer oil replaced, just waiting on new diff pinion seals before I drop the gloop out of them! Anyone know what size the nut is on this pinion behind the prop!?
 
Trimmed the wheel arches as with the new softer springs we have just recently fitted the tyres just touch the edges of the arches and we do plan to fit taller shock's soon :)
 
Blowers conked out as I pulled onto t'drive. checked the fuse box and the fuse was blown, looked at the technical scribble (diagram) on the back of the cover and it suggests 20A for t'blowers, a 10 were fitted that blew... Looks like I'll be double checking the ratings on alllll the fuses now *sigh*
on the list it goes...
 
Just had a play with the inside today. 10mm foil backed camping mat now securely glued to the ceiling. Also fitted a tracker and wired up a fast blow fuse and voltage stablizer. Oh and wired in a new rear courtesy light.
 
Balljoint fell apart today on drop arm from steering box.
Circlip etc dropped on to steering guard and luckily I could still steer it and get off motorway.
Arm and joint bought as a unit and has done about five hundred miles ... BRITPART of course !!!
