Visited the start of the Conquering Hero in N Wales to see it still firmly shut because of irresponsible owners of either bike or 4x4..Drove the White Stones route in Denbighshire N Wales only to be confronted by an irate farmer who complained that the last lot of 4x4 drivers had left all the gates open and then drove where they should not. Then on to the Wayfarers to see chewed up ground off the track caused by numpties who have no idea about tread lightly. For those of you out there he actually don't care, it won't be long before all routes are closed and only available to ramblers, horse riders and farmers and you will have only yourselves to blame. A typical example is the Baddi a route near Llangollen, it is recommended down hill only as the track is being wrecked by people trying to go uphill who do not understand what "downhill only means" it is an English term meaning "downhill only" End

Yes, I did the Wayfarer route a while ago and was saddened to see how people had been spinning their wheels and churning up the peat, especially round the memorial. If you want to drive like that there's such things as pay and play sites.

Well this were yesterday....

Bought Drover all the bits to do his boot floor and rear crossmember - had to at £160 the lot and still wrapped in plastic!!

replaced bottom water hose. I bought the Antifreeze coolant which I will put in over the weekend. I think I'm going to re-install the Viscos fan as well and take out the Kenlowe fan. I'm getting it ready for Morocco next Spring. The Kenlowe worked well last time, I did see the temperature creep towards the red once or twice. I would like to see if there is any difference between the Kenlowe and the Viscos.

Having problems with my new rear air shocks being to big. Even larger shock mounts required, hoping won't have to cut into the rear tub..

Just installed my new cubby box now got somewhere to put my coffee
Managed to bye 2 for £15 at Newbury 1 grey 1 black.... BARGAIN....

Towed the caravan to a forest site and set it up for wife and kids who arent working this weekend.
Adjusted the hand brake when I came home.

Bought a new battery!

The battery in the Disco died completely in the shed overnight, wouldn't crank the engine at all! :(

Put the battery out of the 90 in it, started straightaway. Decided to put the new battery in the 90, it is the better vehicle of the two.

Got the horn, brake lights and heater fan working on my sorned s3 also got the battery charging.

so only the lights, indicators, gauges, wipers and washers to go :D

just replaced the rear wiper arm and wiper, took the motor out and gave it a good soaking in 3 in 1 spray, then packed it with grease, now runs like a swiss watch.:clap2:

Just bought some black chequer plate for bonnet and some smoked side repeaters, jus realised I got no rivets or screws to fit it :(

Changed dead alternator, almost broke hand undoing stupid hex head bolts for stupid EGR valve. Got it off with hammer, blow torch, plusgas, setting it on fire, more swearing...

hole now blanked. Battery now charges without a horrid noise.

Fitted oil pressure gauge.

Found out the rubber plug on air box perished so sounds like a bass drum.

Finally fitted the cloth front seats purchased from LZ member 2 weeks ago. Made it feel luxurious so I cleared out the back to make it tidy.

I took the electric Kenlowe rad fan off and re-installed a new Visco's fan. Also replaced the bottom water hose, drained the cooling system and put fresh Anti freeze in. Took it for a spin and all seems well. The new Visco's fan is working a treat. The old one before I fitted the Kenlowe was well shot. It kept turning all the time. The new one once the engine warms up just about ticks over and stops if I poke it with a folded news paper. Morocco 2016 here we come.
