fiddles with the electrics a bit more and blew some fuses :D

got the headlights working, washer wiper and indicators but dash warning lights are being awkward

Today a little bit of chassis painting whilst STILL waiting for my clutch plate to arrive. That's not gonna happen this weekend now is it?

Had a tinker with the fuel sender unit and ordered a new one ( broken spade connectors)

Removed and replaced clutch master and slave cylinders. Even pained the master cylinder housing. That's how bored I am waiting to put the clutch in. It looks awful in white. I'm not a very good painter [emoji15]

Finally fitted a dashboard 12v power outlet. Made to fit. 2 usb and 2 sockets.

Changed oil filter, rotor filter, air filter, oil, fixed rear led indicator, replaced rear mud flaps (previous ones were crudely cut around exhaust) (twice, didn't like the first position!!), refitted roof rack by trimming overhanging inner tube (previous owner bodged), changed all external silver screws to black! Front grill area is next!!!!

Cleaned the seatbox the covered the whole lot with Dynamat, should be a tad quieter! Cleaned out my air box and made it more free flowing :)

Went for lunch at my in-laws with mine cos there were huge puddles everywhere and didnt want to get my freshly washed car dirty :D

Replaced the side panels on the seat box
B***ard of a job with the rivet gun
think im going to get an air fed one
oh and kinked yet another chassis brake pipe so packed up and walked away
Just aint my weekend

Altered the fuel pump on my 300tdi :)

One full turn on the top screw, and 1/4 turn on the diaphragm

Pick up from idle is excellent, and pulls better up my test hill :)

wired my dash indicator warning lights individually to ground on my s3 so now only one flashes on the side I am indicating.

wired the redundant cold start warning light into the heater plug circuit so now I have a nice little yellow light to let me know the key is in the glo plug position.

Fitted smaller spots on light bar,not wired up as yet :)
Some before and after shots ,might fix a couple of rectangular ones on back for extra reverse lights.

Finally got around to removing the awful LR side steps and removed the Long range tank from the drivers side, cos the pump doesnt work and thus has never had diesel in it since 2010 :)

tightened swivel to axle bolts, as they were loose, only to discover one was missing and one is missing a washer :(.

discovered under body schultz is peeling off in sheets :( - wtf causes that?

Cleaned off the awful mess around the breather on the rocker cover, and tightened the clips.

Fitted the second row outer seats correctly (they were on the wrong sides).

Enjoyed driving it after yesterdays fuel pump tweaks :)

Wondered (again) what gorilla tightened the wheel nuts, as I cannot get them undone!

Front grill off.
Front panel off.
Radiator and cowl out.
Fan off and pulley wheel off.
Timing cover and water pump off.
Rocker cover off.
Flywheel set to EP.

Bottle went................................

Tell him you want that top biscuit jointing and running through a thicknesser.

Dowelled tennons and a vice with a foot.

That should get you a fat lip................ :D

Gave the old girl an oil change.
Then swapped around some of my spare wheels and tyres, I now have 5 good tyres on rims.
Fixed two punctures as well.

I couldn't seat one of the tyres as my compressor is giving up, will have to take it down the garage to pump it up properly.

I'll then be able to put my road tyres back on, although they will look silly with the 2" lift, but I'll get some acceleration back.
