Carpet doesn't seem to want to stick to the noisekiller in the footwell sides and upper overhang. Just pulled it off and threw it in the back.

Did you get it back in?

Para cord is good for getting them in. Or when I've lost that in the past I've used washing line.

Err I did sort of.

I took it to my brother in laws in the end before I smashed it.
He showed me how to use a a piece of string and a bit of fairy liquid - 2 minutes and it was done.
At least I'll know if it happens again.

Today Yogi passed his MOT... having failed on Friday!

It was just my luck on Friday that the MOT test was being overseen by a man from VOSA so it failed on a couple of things that are sometimes overlooked (weeping steering pump). It did however also need 2 new tyres and offside track rod end. All fixed now and on the road for another year

Changed Drover's 4 x 55W Spot lights on roof bar for 4 x 15W LED jobbies.

I 'cheated' as I'm out with the scouts tonight and Scotchlokked the wiring - yeah I know!! Couldn't find me soldering iron, fink its in tha loft and if that's the case I couldn't be fussed to get the ladder etc!!

removed front top shock bushes and turrets nuts.
removed o/s turret and thinking how to remove the n/s, coz it wont come up cause of the air intake tubing and exhaust bits. hopefully out thru wheel arch.

The short ones go on the passenger side they do on defenders anyway.

Defenders are sided because of fuel tank & driver etc. Disco not sure but guess it's the same even tho tank is at the back, must be just for drivers weight? Try it see what it sits like!

last several weeks I have fixed the oil leak on the gear box, transfer box and last weekend fixed the leaks from the rear diff. All oil leaks sorted. Or so I thought. This morning discovered a new oil leak coming from the front diff axle flange.
Will my drive ever be free from oil marks.

Removed the lump of pretty plastic under the front bumper. What a job.

Then I cut the end caps down to size with an angle grinder cos I is lazy. Got a stunner of a plastic burn on me left thumb!!

Gave the bumper a good coat of some evil gloopy auto paint. Also did the end caps as they looked crud in their faded greyness.

Put it back tegether. Well happy. Looks much better.
