switched back to my D1 today not actually sure which I prefer driving except mine tends to be more feared on the roads than the terrano lol and the seats are more comfortable

Gave up on fixing fuel gauge
Made a brake pipe
Tried to fit fuel shut off in line solenoid but dont have the 1/4 union fittings for the pipes so might use plastic push on ones
Started to make another brake pipe but got fed up and had a brew then left it:D

Put the front end back together (post-painting) and found that the dipped headlights were on permanently. So got to it with the multimeter and traced the fault to the dim-dip relay, which seems to have done the Lucas thing and fail short-circuit. So I've disconnected it and now have normal headlights.

One of these days I might just pull all the wiring out and start from scratch...

Collected mine from the garage after having the gearbox and transfer box stripped to try and find out where this bl##dy vibration is coming from. Vibration is still there, but after giving the Defender a good thrashing through a river and over some rough terrain the vibration doesn't seem so bad.

Replaced the fuel pressure regulator after part of the old casing sheared off! What a nightmare job, note to self, don't over tighten tapers bolts!

Put the turbo & manifolds on my 200tdi 90 and found that it sits awfully close to the bonnet, and I haven't even put the spare wheel back on yet. Should this be normal?

stuck 30 litres of nvo in her and waited for a stuck up suit in an audi to get next to the exhaust before starting her up. really starting to like this side exit

Lost a reversing/fog light unit and nearly ripped off the rear bumper. Off-roading at Canewdon.

I'm glad I fitted the rear protection under the tow bar before I left this morning.

Yesterday I rushed to fit as CB thinking it would be useful today. Trouble is there were so many low trees the aerial just kept getting bent. I eventually had to remove the aerial.

I need to find a better way to mount it. Perhaps I'll fit it to the new heavy duty bumper when I order it.

Got Back from 3 months in Kenya. Reconnected the battery on the beast , fired straight up and drove her home along with 3 months worth of spiders!

went to Kiddy mister to get some noo boots, quick pop in to Dour Bridge and then a stop for my Birrmin-gam pie (Si left one)
