Fixed the TD5 dash wiring as I broke a couple of wires with taking it in and out several times, reconnected the rev counter light, re-wired the ground for the gauges (which fixed the temp gauge) and put 125ml of brake fluid in the master cylinder (whoops)

Went to see a mate and coming back 'did' a few little lanes, one of which between fields was new. Hardly touched, short, but picturesque and had a nice soundtrack from the radio .. ;)

Then got to local Mcdonalds and as I was stood getting my money out, pressing on the brakes, I heard a loud BANG, pedal went to the floor and I'd lost all brakes! .. Drove home slowly, still had brakes, just notalot, and used the handbrake a tad to help ..

So, the drivers side extended brake line had been rubbing on the tyre and split! Ah well, better it happened while stood than coming down, or up, a Welsh mountain .. ;)

After thinking I was clever putting BMW E46 seats in the Defender, after a week I realised I don't like them, if it ain't broken don't fix it  :D

went and stripped a disco of a stack of useful parts for me and my mates trucks so now just on the look out for some +2" rear disco shocks to suit the lift kit I got.
can I temporarily fit the +2" springs and front shocks and run my standard rears shocks for now?

Yup

Why do people think they have right of way from a layby or slip road onto the carriage way? Especially if I'm on the inside lane and physically cannot move across as the fast lane is full..... ####wits  some stupid old bint pulled out of the layby right in front of me today and she was completely oblivious thinking I'd move across and it's not the first time this week...some arsehole did it when I was pulling me horse trailer last week...####wits

I had 4 idiots do the same to me in one journey.
Fitted my 2" lift kit today only just finished did front shocks and springs and had one shock tear the bottom off it so glad I did it and rear springs just need to get some rear shocks fitted now. Time for some grub and a shower thanks to the rain im cold and soggy but the truck is sitting pretty now
