Fitted new front springs, shocks and turrets to my 110.

Was an ok job except for having to cut/chisel off the old lower shock bolts.

The bushes were totally shot and one shocks was leaking.

Vast improvement with all the new bits :) and upgraded my turrets to galvinised ones from Gwyn Lewis. Look very strong!

crossmembers or plasma bits?
if ya could find out for either, would be good, cheers!

aye, its oerlikon. could do with an exploded diagram with part numbers.
apparently the unidentified bit may be a diffuser.
tip is a 0408-2385 1.6 (1.6 is the diameter of hole. beleive you can get a 1.2 and a 1.0)
electrode is a ZR0408-2501
machine is a citoarc AP25-2

i'll ring the welding and cutting services. where abouts are they?

cheers to both of ya!

Tyler Rd/St/Ave/Lane/or something in Sheffield iirc at my age ;););)

got round to taking my rocker gear of the disco 200..
then had fun trying to take out the pushrods ..
3 came out sort of easy`ish, but the other 5 were pulled out with a claw hammer...lol
wish I could show ya..
all of them more bent that curly wurly sphagetty
I laid a straight edge along the valve tops and all seem reasonably level.
lost 2 valve caps, found 1 down the pushrod hole by a very strong magnet in its telescopic stick, spent hours trying to find the last lost one - nope, nuffinck.
moved the landie looking under it, had a hand held spotlight on it all, a mirror on its telescopic stick, bits of wire in the valves springs searching nuffinck..
turned the cam in reverse with magnet down the hole, done it turning forewards - nuffinck.
even pushed a magmount magnet around on the floor/ hardcore in a hope..

ordered a new set of valve caps and a pre owned (ok, 2nd hand) set of pushrods.

also realised my water pump is on its way out with brown water stains coming from the "breather" hole under the pumps casting....another £28 quid going from my pension ..

I`ve a feeling one of the valve stem caps must have stuck to the rockers and as I lifted them out it must have fell off to the exhaust side somewhere... or another..

LOL.. I had my legs in where the rad went, my bum on the slam panel for bloody hours looking....
with the bonnet push as high as it would go held up by a broom...

Replaced my rear brake cylinders, shoes and drums. Nearside was ok-ish, offside was terrible. Leaking cylinder and worn and contaminated shoes. Should be able to feel the difference I reckon. Not been for a test drive yet though, saving that for tomorrow.

Flushed the coolant out with a 2 part cleaner and re filled it with prestone @ 50/50

Loads of brown stuff came out

Just had my MOT this morning and passed. I wasn't expecting too much trouble as I've checked the car over and renewed a few bits and pieces over the last few weeks but it's always nice to get a positive result.

Interestingly, despite discussion on here, nobody said anything about it not having a CAT, even though it's a 2006 model and would have had one originally.

haha well theres no pics from today either :p rolled up the soft top, modified and fitted the rock sliders, pumped up the tyres.......ones was down at 10psi  and richened up the idle mix when cold as it was a little bit unhappy when first started.

Just need to load it up with the off roading kit tomorrow :)

Took my friend shopping and bought some pink putty stuff in a jar when you stick your finger in makes a farting noise.

I know, I know. Grow up! :p
