Good tyres they are, got em fitted to my D2 and they've shrugged off everything that Dorset, Wiltshire and Wales have thrown at them, I'm quietly impressed...
 
Yup. Just replaced a set of AT2's on the "special vehicle" for £400 all in - last lot did 37K miles too :). Well chuffed.
 
Tried again to start the 2.5 td, not having any of it, still it doesnt get dark for a while so theres still time :)
 
Lots of little bits, tidied wiring up so the centre console can now be seen and the gear levers don't get fouled. Moved CB aerial from the rear onto a mag-mount in the centre of the front roof behind the light bar. Added wiring for Sat-Nav up to light bar where there's a velcro patch for the receiver, and in through the bulkhead rather than window.

Made a small cover for when the rear door's open and I want to cook, mostly for when camping, out of an old windbreak and poles/guylines.

Checked fluids and was going to change brake fluid but it's now getting dark and ICBA ... ;)
 
Did rear TBox oil seal and handbrake. Did a bit of tarting up whilst I was there.
Greased and refitted rear prop shaft.
Fitted rear caliper and had an abortive attempt a making a replacement brake pipe with my noo Rolsen brake kit - either I aint got a clue or it is ****e :(.

I've gotta do that seal at some point soon. is it fairly straight forward, and how did you get the new seal in did it just push in or need some trickery?
 
Got my friend to sync me a new key fob with his Autologic box -

Also discovered that my air flow meter was reading very low, so swapped it for new one... and Jeeze, the TD5 flies along now - accelerates hard with only light pedal travel - and pull like a train from 50 to 70+mph ..great for overtaking. :D:D:D:D
 
Fitted a snorkel, its a bearmach one from Blanchards for £60ish. The pipes and everything seem well made and are coated in a thick PVC like material.

Fitting was a piece of cake following the supplied instructions.

However.

The supplied bolts were all too long and I don't think they will be very corrosion resistant, some stainless replacements might be in order. With hind sight I should have fitted rivnuts to the windscreen pillar, fitting the nuts in the confines of the pillar is a bit of a faff.

The "Jubilee" clips for the rubber section appear to be normal off the shelf stuff, again some stainless ones would be an improvement or possibly some giant black ty-raps.

The gaskets for the connection to the existing inlet pipework are a pain to fit, if was to do another I wouldn't bother with them and just use a good bead of silicone sealant.

Now it's fitted though I am quite happy with the result.

Fitted a similar snorkel myself recently. (bearmach mushroom type) but the jubilee clips were plastic and just pushed together and held in place by teeth. Agree the gaskets were a right pain - haven't tried it yet but hope its water tight!!

Always a good idea to run some clear silicon around the snorkel plate where it meets the air intake ... better to be safe ;)
