Looks good - as I already had the td5 console, Phil made me the fasia so that I could fashion it to my taste.

ah right i see good bloke and really helpful had a prob on the delivery side of things with mine and he sent another out without any arguements (the prob was the courier forged my signature and god knows what he done with the dash but i did'nt get it so as expected phil ain't using that courier again lol)

Today I changed the clutch master cylinder on the Defender 110 CSW 300TDi. I followed various instructions on here and on <cough>LR4x4</cough> and it was a doddle. Only instructions missing were to remove the bonnet-release from its bracket when moving the pedal cover, and that when removing the air-filter assembly it's an awful lot easier to reassemble if you remove the bottom pipe at the bottom end, not the air-filter end.
Bled the system as well as I could, then 150 miles north to see the partner's daughter for xmas. Bled it again there, as was a little spongey, had an excellent meal, then travelled all the way back home. It all seems fine now.

It's a good job I don't mind getting my hands dirty, but then if I did I suppose we'd never have bought a Landy... :D

On the A1 it was ****ing down, and there were no leaks? Is it faulty?

trying to remove the front brake caliper bolts from my 110.

Probably haven't been removed in the best part of 10 years... the bar stewards are welded on and totally rounded off...

GRRRRRRR :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty:

Did you use a 12pt socket?

yup hammered a 12mm on there nice and tight... just spun on the bolt, no movement at all.

Going to try cutting a slice in it with a dremmel and getting the impact driver on it... but that's for tomorrow :)
that was your mistake use 6point sockets and it won't happen
