Well I fixed the power steering pump to tha hengine and the alterator and also fitted the dipstick tube. 300tdi turbo on 200tdi and the dipstick had to be modified to fit round the turbo.
The 300 dipstick just pushes in the block and the 200 screws in. The 300 must have an insert in the block but cant be arsed fiddlin about tryin to get it off the 300:rolleyes:
Bolted downpipe on as well so cookin on gas now:D

After doing nowt on it all week, I welded a cap onto the end of the boxed outrigger at the rear of the chassis then cut off the front passenger bulkhead outrigger. Had been done before but there was a bit of rust behind it. Now just a big hole in the chassis so will weld a repair section on and a new outrigger, probably tomoz. Also removed the radiator and cowling.

Seeing as the postie finally delivered the caliper bolt's I fitted the new front calipers & pads, and as the wheels were off I put a fresh coat of underbody sealant on the wheel arches.

well, today I was going to start making the template for the roof console, but didnt have time.

a mate came over so I could fit a breather kit on his disco and bleed the brakes.
when bleeding the brakes noticed the hub was moving a lot!!! so I had to replace the wheel brearings, which wasnt easy as the inner bearing was almost welded

Removed rear seats and belts (yesterday), removed centre front seat and belt, fitted cubby. removed EGR. A good wash and brush out. Alarm next...

Fitted my new Flo-Flex panhard rod bushes, lined up my steering using the string method fairly successfully and sprayed plenty of GT-85 on my old A-frame arms in preparation to fit new bushes and my new Gwyn Lewis adjustable/greaseable jobbie tomorrow.

drove mine off the driveway and parked it on the road (legally now )....total trip of about 20 meters without a breakdown :D
