Thanks Gemsdad - I cleaned up the caliper and the sliding pins. Might need to check the piston a bit more thoroughly though

Paid for my gearbox repair today (new mainshaft) so fingers crossed that tomorrow my gearbox is fitted and i can have my landy back

removed Dicky bates towbar and drop plate, discovered drop plate is fooked with tow hitch mounting holes stretched and fractured
fortunately I have a replacement drop plate, that the NATO hitch bolts to.
fitted NATO hitch to crossmember and painted it.
and stripped down me ball & pin hitch and un seized the release pin and greased it all up Good as noo now.
