Today I fitted a new tax disc holder (old one was brown parcel tape!), new wiper blades, greased the UJ's and propshafts, fitted some new bolts to the hood sticks and carried on putting pop rivets in all the holes on the tub where the army mounted loads of god knows what! Pop rivets should tidy it up nicely when it's all painted!

Cambelt and radiator top hose tomorrow and refit the tilt

Had my MOT today, passed with flying colours :)

need to get round to fitting the box full of new parts for it now though....
 

Yeah, The bracket I made involved a lot of trial an error. Drilled a hole in it and fastened to to the back of the headunit, then slid it in the carrier, marked out, repeated and that in all took about 40 minutes. The only trouble is that I have to remove the top dash plate with the Land Rover badge on it to get access. Once the headunit is fastened on that bracket, it is impossible to remove the bottom dash plate with the headunit on it :p I did this intentionally because at least it won't rattle like my old Kenwood. The rest of the time was spent re-wiring and making the job as tidy as I could :D

Well I didn't do my cambelt or the rad hose, weather (snow) stopped play. I did make a sacrificial rub plate to stop the top hose fubar'ing itself on the filter housing. Took me all of about 1 minute. Also changed the rear tilt flap cord for some 8mm bungee cord

nice :D does it at least light up to let you know nothing has happened ;)

Not a huge fan of them myself tbh, they are handy when it's low current passing through them, but it's easy to balls up when putting them in :p
I want to put a feed to it at some point, or find something else for the switch to do :D
 
Started making some funny noises - when I stopped and looked underneath I found the back of the exhaust has rusted off!!!

Time for a new exhaust......
 
Took it to some woods to collect some plant samples for bits. Found some tracks and went to explore quickly ;)
 
Fitted some gay steps to make it easier for me to get in backand a proper towball and pin:cool::cool:
