Jobs from the last 3 days
With the help from Ian ( a mate from silverend) we finished the axle rebuild so after 3 days of replacing bits. I have a work truck again. with brakes that work Ian had abit of a moment when I tested the brakes. Doing about 20mph towards a fence I had faith in the work we done but Ian wasn't to sure Lol all this work because I had a small oil leak from the pinion seal.

1 new rear wheel bearings
2 new rear brake disc and pads
3 new rear diff
I was unable to remove the the spigot from the diff. I use a lot of heat and a 8m bolt to try and pull the spigot but the bolt snapped
So I've just bought a new diff ( new to me)

I'll be repaying the flavour to Ian next week when we fit his new clutch and flywheel on his frontera

Went to fit the new spicers in my prop......and they're too big! Turned out they're for a series three  :banghead:
Luckily I ordered the two uj's for the front half shafts and they're the right size  I'll have to order a couple more or four to do the front axle and prop :)

And now :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Took headlights off to replace them with new brighter ones. Doh wrong bowls cos the new ones are with sidelight too. Ordered new bowls cos mine are rotten to hell.

got me OS maps out and drove from Michealwood Service to Bath. By the shortest route possible whilst not using A Roads or Mways. Not done any proper map reading for a long time. and quite enjoyed meself, NO rush admired the views. drove up Lansdowne Ridge and viewed the spot where a bunch of short haired, steel booted yobs. Kicked the **** out of a load of long haired upperclass PastyMunchers. AKA Parlimentarian and royalists. Good to see nowt changes. :D

Some lovely views,

realised I have a caravan awning underneath the Pikeywagon. It's been there for 3 years and never been used by me. So I've modified the frame with the intention of making a tent/porch thingymajig. to go on the back of the 110. It won't look as good as an howling wolf tent but it'll do me.. and won't have cost me fookall (well a few nuts and bolts and some rope.. etc.

Still need to bend the legs at the top to change the angle, and stop it from spreading out so far, at the bottom. Will then need to shorten the legs. Plans is to have the 2 front legs Fixed length, and the 2 back legs to be height adjustable. For when parked on rough or sloping ground.

Also considering a Centre Pole to stop roof from flapping & filling up with water when it rains.

Oooooooo interesting!

Yesterday finally got round to changing the rear door hinge pins, could really do with some brand new hinges and a mantec spare wheel carrier :D

Booked retest for tomorrow. Failed on play in rear hub bearings and the front right full beam failed. Fookin worked last night!
Also had to fit new flasher lights for in dash warnings for indicators
