I will remember that for the future because its bound to wear out again. Did plenty of searching using product numbers etc and managed to find the (what I hope to be) correct relay for £7.60 on ebay... nice and cheep fix :)

fitted new gear and handbrake gaiters, removed EGR. Wife is as we speak sewing a new leather steering wheel cover on.............

Trying to replace the water pump belt after fitting a new water pump i Broke the belt tension arm.

Just re-located my breather pipes that were coiled in the engine bay, added the petrol tank breather and replaced the scuffed and kinked rear axle one. Connected up a manifold and ran a tube up the snorkel and windscreen side .. ;) I like bright ...

Then did the CV joint, and found a right mess! Obviously my fault through lack of maintenance, but it looks like there is a complete lack of grease there .. and the swivels were changed by a garage a few years ago ..

Hey-ho no sweat, just got to put the wheel back on but it started raining, so wet, windy, wet, very cold and wet, so I didn't and came in for a warm. Now I cba so I'm off out for a meal with the mrs .. ;)

Gave it a clean, put the rear door card back, checked all the levels under the bonnet, topped up with engine oil and found that the rattle in the rear door is pretty much gone after adjusting the rear hinges, still needs new ones though :D
Prepared for the Vintage show in Llandudno tomorrow :D
 
I took my battery off chare and drop tested it...

WTF it aint charged.:confused::confused::confused:

Checked my battery charger out and took some measurements off the leads. The bastid isn't charging on any setting other than Jump start.:mad::mad::mad:

Have found a broken leccy component but just need to work out what it is and where to get one from.:eek:
 
changed me shagged alternator for a working 100Amp one :D
changed me flat battery for the old one out of me 200tdi Been chucked in the, gas bottle store, in the pikey wagon for 9months. started me disco 1st turn of the key. :D
Tested me noo CD player. no dash controls and asks for code everytime ignition is turned on?? :(
Tried to fit me steering guard and the panhard drop arm/bracket thingy bolt was seized in the chassis/arm. put a spanner on the bolt head, and snapped the fooker off :mad:
fitted the front axle diff guard, :D
didn't fit the rear axle diff guard. Cos diff cover is wafer thin and about to blow thru?? :(
Fitted me Guardian Tank Guard :D :D & snapped one of the ARB mounting bolts in the process :(

Found a large hole 40mm diameter in the centre chassis crossmember :( :(

Was that the Varta Battery I gave ya?
