moved rear seats forward and started constucting a drawer/locker in rear tub to store tools/strops etc will post some pics as it takes shape ..... also broke washer pump removing it to clean it now need to replace it hey ho !!!!....

Moved it forward 10ft and then emptied some coal out of it.

I knew you could run them on veg oil, but didn't know they could run on coal too :D

Does mrs ratty stoke the fire whilst you drive or visa versa :D

Today the Green Meanie got its first steam clean in - oh, I don't know, probably first one ever! I never imagined so much **** could live under a vehicle! It took the guy almost two hours to remove the crap and old weatherproofing from the underbody and engine bay. It uncovered some hidden problems, but nothing too scarey. Now I won't mind getting underneath, as it's almost squeaky clean!
Two hours of filthy work underneath the Meanie, and it cost less than a half decent meal for two! (£35, YMMV) Not a job you'd find me doing, ugh!

--- BLATANT ADVERT ---
If anyone in Hull or surrounding area needs the Landy steam cleaned, can I recommend Acey Underbody Cleaners, Barmston Street, Hull 01482218059. He does underbody / chassis and engine bay steam cleaning for MOT and general use. Tell the guy the man with the filthy Defender sent you... :D

Subjected it to school run. :D

Lots of kids shouting whoa thatsa big truck.

son shouts" its not a truck its a landy dumbass"

+Quite a few things! Found that the alternator mount rear bolt had snapped but was still biting, my dad drilled out the old one and ran a tap down it to sort that out :)

Heard a funny chat sound from one of the injectors, found that the copper washer was blowing and had built up with carbon, made it run badly when cold, pulled out the injector and replaced it with one of the spare ones off the old engine, now runs well :D

Also the turbo actuator boost pipe had broken off, due to the rubber going brittle, changed that for some temporary pipe, going to buy some silicone pipe to make a proper job of it, the current pipe will be ok for now

Also my dad tweaked the timing slightly sounds better now :D

Finally I put on my new stickers, the landyzone sticker was like this 'www.landyzone.co uk' it was missing the '.' between 'co' and 'uk' must have been me when trying to get it off the application paper  sorted that out by cutting a dot out of a rock oil sticker :D good day all in all :biggrin1:
