Fitted an alternator this afternoon, again (4th one in 6 months). Hopefully now I have found the shorting problem and fixed it (well removed the fuse) I have solved the problem.

Today I fixed a leaking fuel return pipe, then fitted kenlowe fan that's been looking at me in the garage for weeks now. Slowly ticking off the jobs on to do list but then more jobs crop up !!!!!....

I live in the French countryside where each little village has its own emergency serves manned by volunteers. I have just seen a brand new Defender join the fleet of emergency vehicles today. I wander if its the influence of mine being here. It was the only vehicle to get down some of the snowed in lanes last year and created some tracks so the snow plough could get down there. Or it could have been when my Defender pulled a lorry out of the ditch in the snow when other vehicles which did not have diff locks couldn't manage it. Or it could have been when I was driving through the forest tracks where their vehicles couldn't go. Anyway. Its nice to see another Defender on the road here. Now I have someone to wave to.

Fitted new TDCI/ PUMA Defender front seats with heater elements, XS black rack 1/2 leather trim and Exmoor Trim carpet set to the front.
Just have to wire in the heated bits now and fit switches and relays somewhere.
