Took my 110 greenlaning with my dad following behind in his Disco 300, his first time driving off road, :D

And in doing so, realised that I really do need to change my suspension, s'getting pretty damn bouncy and soft :rolleyes:

Anyone recommend a set of springs and/or shocks? Ideally I want to keep it at standard height - would it be best just to replace with like-for-like components or go for uprated ones?
 
finished fitting the air horns on the old 90 yesterday (finalily :rolleyes:)
today went to a pay/play site with the sash guys not a bad day :D

Have a look on land-rover-parts-shop-uk 15 quid a spring. No spam honest!

Greased all the props and steering linkage. And tried to stop the annoying chirping noise when I go over a bump with rear nearside wheel. Grrrr just have to turn radio up to drown it out!

stripped out all the carpet and rear seats, to see the extent of the rust on my disco, only the boot floor needs doing, which is a relief cause the foam under the carpet was running with water
 
well today i have mostly been replacing the rear mudflap brackets on my Discovery 200 TDI, which were almost exclusively made of rust:eek: (the portions of them that existed) and now i have nice shiny metal ones new mudflaps too:) replaced a rear shock top bush whilst I was there need a support bracket (for the mudflap brackets) as I wrongly presumed that they were both OK:doh:
 
Fitted some more tie-down loops in the cargo area.
Fitted a small security safe behind the passenger seat.
Installed an LED interior light over the rear door.
Stopped my bolted down toolbox from rattling.

Still waiting for the delivery of my new wheels and tyres ..... any time now.

started it up, reversed 12 inches, drove forwards 12 inches, stopped it, applied the handbrake and got my lift to work... still can't drive due to broken finger :(
 
......... made my reverse lights into indicators by putting an extra wedge type bulb fitment in the lenses, wired them up, put amder bulbs in, and presto!

Works great dunno why they didnt come out like that as standard. Now ppl can see my indicators with a stationary car behind me at the lights.

Im thinking I might do the same with the tail lights, and or brake lights. Cost me about AUD$25 for 4 rubber fitments (sourced from UK Ebay) and amber bulbs, from local autoparts shop.

Btw the reverse lights are still operational and and were not moved in this process, so when in reverse (and hazards/indicators on) the white reverse bulb 'overpowers' the brightness of the amber bulbs.

Fitted steering guard.

Well, what i did was drove to local garage, borrowed his airgun and gas bottle..heated the beejaysus out of the steering arm bolt...hammered seven colours of poo out of it..then fitted it using his ramp.....

Best £10 i ever spent....
 
Started to fit a new snorkel on me RRC but got rained off, fitted new body tie rods and decided I need a full roof rack now.
