Not strictly today but:

Rebult the hinges for the rear door and painted the crossmember.

Fitted a Mud bulkhead replacement bar. A great piece of kit and not difficult to fit, especially since the tub is removed.

Stripped front calipers intending to recondition them with new pistons and seals. Unfortunately the calipers themselves are too far gone to be saved. Bollox!

I am currently hammeriting my dangly row of lights to go on the rail above my windscreen.

I don't know why, all they do is illuminate my bonnet !

the trick is to paint the bonnet matt black so it doesn't reflect the light back at you......... first seen on the camel trophy discos

I think (touch wood) that I've sorted my brakes out - fitted new calipers, bled them through, adjusted the rear drums (with new shoes) and things seem muchly improved. Once the pads and shoes have bedded in I'll have a better idea. I dare not try an emergency stop yet - just in case they're still ****e!

Sorted a couple of dodgy electrical connections. Replaced wiper blades. Refitted the allegedly sound-proofing matting round transmission tunnel etc.

..... bought a new expansion bottle, noticed mine was getting tale tell cracks.

Just got it to prevent any dramas.

AUD$70.00 I thought was a bit steep, but parts aint exactly easy to get in OZ, you take what you can get!

Was one from a stealer @ AUD$90.00, so I did better than them.
