Tested my ABS brakes, found a nice quiet lane with a frozen strip down the nearside, slowed to about 20 and threw the anchor out, to my amazement, the ABS kicked in and she stopped in a nice straight line with the usual vibration from the pedal.

I wanted to know if it all functioned as it had a few issues when I got her.
 
Nowt..BUT....

heavy Duty springs arrived today and cambelt and heavy duty clutch fork :D

So roll on tomorrow..:)

I would like to thank Island 4x4 in Kent for getting my stuff to me less than 24hrs after I ordered and giving me free delivery and emailing and texting me the times for the one hour delivery window. Box of stuff arrived as promised within the delivery window and all present and correct. Fantastic.:D

Not long now before we start getting posts saying he's fooked off back to wife and she's got a lump of scrap on the drive that won't start.. :(
 
temporarily wired up my heated seats to see if I need to add a controller to regulate em. The good news is that I don't.:)
 
finally got the o/s/f brake sorted :mad: swapped the caliper for a spare i had laying about , trouble was it was fookin leaking worse than the **** i took out :frusty::frusty:
had to pop over to the local indi lr guy and pick up a second hand pair (tf he was still in the workshop) bonus the pads in them were about 10mm more on um than the 1's i had :D
 
Just spent the last 3 hours clearing cars from the A120 / Ramsey Hill in Essex:). First rescues in my Disco - I think we did 8 cars, loads of fun. Also cleared a fallen tree. Roll on tomorrow night:D:D:D

Fitted new wiper blades front and rear to the green RRC. The misses has been using it....trying to explain to her the heated screen takes a minute to do its work, otherwise the rubber is left on the glass when the wipers are switched on:doh:
Took the opportunity to replace the two on the blue RRC bobtail too. The ones on there looked very fragile cheepo things.
Checked oil, coolant and screenwash on both.

job done:)
