Was greeted with a flat tyre today. All my valves are still on the inside of the steelies after pressing out and turning round my wheel centers.
And some mud got wedged under one valve, pushing it into the caliper which proceeded to eat it on the way home.
So fixed it by taking the wheel off then getting my mate to drive his fiesta on the the tyre to push it off the bead. Remove knackered valve, cover tyre in wet blanket. Weld up hole, drill new one on other side and fit in new valve.
Then all that was left was to spray a little carb cleaner round the tyre, light it and hey presto, tyre back on.
Pumped it up, put in back on truck, job done!

Just the other 4 to do now.

Chris.

Oh no.... sorry about that.........:eek::eek:

Mike myself and it was either Guy or Brian was talking about your valves and wheels on sunday and we wonder how long it would be untill you put the valves on the outside.

:lol: its been on the to-do list for a while, 6 months or so.
Tbh its only been that wheel i've had a problem with cause the valve is longer than the others. Welded a piece of metal next to it to hook it out the way of the caliper just out and split it on the drive home.
Will hopefully have all the other done this week. Then i wanna get a little compresser to put in the engine bay somewhere.

Just bought a Disco door off fleabay for a tenner as I need to replace my busted window regulator, seeing as more teeth have broken off I don't fancy another winter of draught's down my neck/back whilst :5bdriving:

Nice flat tyre today cause it won't reseal to my knackered old rims. Got another set kicking around so gonna get them up to scratch and put the tyres on there instead.
Today was spend taking my £100 passat on a 520 mile round trip to Manchester to pick up a Plasmer cutter won off ebay. And whilst there had to visit Old Trafford and get a few pics. Well chuffed. :D
