changed the oil pressure switch and clutch cylinder oh and installed a radio in it as well the old girl needed a little bit of loving today

the wife does to but she is not as much fun off road

Took the front axle, suspension and brakes off my doner truck. Now just gotta decide if i just chuck it straight on mine and prey it'll go through the MOT this month or buy a cheap runaround and get new polybushes, paint it and get it all looking nice first.
hmmmm, decisions decisions.

Took the front O/S wing off & removed the fooked aerial. & replaced it with one I pikied off Ratty. Then took it to the jet wash and gave it a clean.

Heheh, must be a day for it ....

Changed oil and filters, Jet-Washed it .. then removed diff guard (bolt-on jobbies) to clean the crud and check them .. the drain holes are always clogged up!

Added some sealer to all the snorkel joints, I'd run it for a while without to let it all settle, and it now sounds a lot quieter .. ;)

Then just bits and pieces tidied up. Keep meaning to remove the egr plumbing actual manifold valve went ages ago) but need a straight connector for where the tubes branch off the main vacuum pipe, so keep leaving it 'cos I keep forgetting a straight connector! At the mo' it has golf tees jammed into the pipe ends!!

Fixed door lock so that it opens without extra tweak from the key! Changed driver side lower link bush! Will do the other side next week.

little tip here... the new bush is thicker than the old and that means that the rear link arm bolt holes don't line up... use a ratchet strap around the axle and hook up to the rear chasis to pull the axle back and line the holes up so the bolt goes in. :)

popped up the road in the td5 to pick up a car for a mates rug rat with his car transporter

was well pleased with how she ran 320 miles round trip = 57 litres

had a slight detour to upset 1 of dafts neighbours by driving on "his" grass
