ordered a core plug and a steel water pipe as mines toasted.
Hopefully I'll be sorted for the weekend, then we will see if the engine is okay

Fitted a pair of nearly new rear passenger doors from a satana to the rear of me 110 SW. Means you have to change the catch plate for one out of a slitty or rover so they will catch properly. All done now no more rusty bottoms or leaky gaps.

Tonight ah decided tae look at me back brakes.... looks like ah'll have tae get me a couple of cylinders pretty soon!
The o/s one has a siezed piston and a wet rusty lookin' one...

How come your brake is so dry and powdery...... This was mine after offroading in wales:D:D

went to the stealers and off-loaded the "transit" in deepender clothing :D

and picked up me td5 WHOOPEY! :dance::dance::clap2:
new diff,new window regulater :D

It's no' really dry Si, it's a wee bit damp. Maybe down tae the weather or due tae a slight seepage. It's just no' right tho', ah got the mrs tae press the pedal down and it took it's time movin' and then it were only one side at a time???!!!??? ;):D
 
Mine were full of oil after the back hub seal leaked again...its only been on 6 mnths

pick up a second hand disco rear axle thats what i did got fooked off with messing with those fookin awfull drum brakes :mad:
huge! differance in the braking power too ;)

Did ya manage to mucky the transit up a bit before you took it back????
 
Ere Buster you looked into changing the drums into discs.... I want another salisbury axle to play with. It aint that hard apparently.
