Spanners arrived into work just before I was due home.Stopped on for 5mins & the big nut came undone. Bonus
Now Chock the wheels & jack diff nose,go home, leave the job for my lunch break tomorrow.
A man in a van brought me my exhaust jigsaw puzzle today.
Skinned knuckles tomorrow,or should I say more, and plenty of change for the swear jar at the ready.
And why don’t they put nuts on the bolts for the flanges.( found some good to go).
Might need to do some mods, let’s see
Just thought I would do some last minute checks before tomorrows trip and the bonnet catch broke
Fortunately I have a spare so I have spent the last hour fitting that
Ok I spent a few hours in the cold garage and ripped out the old rusty bits.(thats total time, rusty bits dont stand a chance with a grinder)
Now was on to fit the new bits.
Tail piece fits great (may have to cut mud flap but will see)
Now to join the 2 bits together.
Well that ain’t going to work is it
Anyway have left the garage with no more change in my pocket for the swear jar.
But I am hopefully on the last legs, and will get it beat tomorrow. Don’t really want to cut into new bits too much as makes future replacements easier. So everything is mocked up and ready for tomorrow’s assault
Have to say it was actually warmer standing in the pit than the garage by a noticeable amount. Probably won’t be tomorrow as it is open overnight.
Must remeber to pick up a bunch of change before I go to garage tomorrow
It has taken me years to do this. In the summer the cable used to be fan. In the winter this was swapped for the glow plugs.
Just to confuse the mrs the heated rear screen lights up when I use it.
