Worked out mrs got 28 MPG out the series 1.
All tucked up for another week. Getting ready for its annual trip to France in 3 weeks :)

I think its the front half of the spigot bearing
But gearbox seems ok, no dodgy noises or clutch issues...

Sometimes you have to bang them quite hard to get them into the hole in the end of the crankshaft so that may induce cracks that encourage them to break up later. There might be a bit left which will keep the gearbox input shaft steady, But it would be worth having a look inside sometime over the next few months.

Took alternator off and purchased a new one.... Bright and shiny and going to fit it tomorrow, rain stopped play today

Got the fan back on after the water pump change.

Must Remember grease gun in the morning.

I fitted a new turbo, whistles dead loud (weirdly).
Wasn't making boost, on further investigation (Like Sherlock Holmes), after everything I looked at on the tinterweb, turns out, the circlip on the blower end, wasn't seated correctly, thisbthebboost was escaping somewhere.
Still whistles, but makes boost. Job done

I thought I'd go out for splash in the rain, I also had wet foot wells, but I forgot the "air con" flaps were open ;)
Previous owner sealed mine with silicon :( I’m doomed to melt in the summer. He said it’s because water came in through them. Surely replacing the seals would have sorted that.
