Well technically I didn't ask how to do it - Redhand generously proffered the info. ;)

That said, I wish I had found it as straightforward as your excellent guide Busterbus - these ****ing UJ's must have been on the landy for a century - the circlips would not budge - seized absolutely solid and it took an hour and a half of battering, hammering, prising etc. Managed to break the Brother-in-law's vice in the process of knocking the UJ out.

For someone used to tinkering with computers, this is a whole new world! I do hope getting the new UJ in isn't as much of a painas getting the old one out!

The rear shaft can go **** itself - I'm gonna nick the shaft off my SIII instead. :D
Ah found that if ye batter hell out of one of the cups it's sometimes easier to get the circlip out ( after givin' it a good dousin' in GT85 / WD40) then repeat on the other ones;)

Right.. ah'm off. Laters;) :D

Tonight while havin' mostly Stella's, ah managed tae get me bulkhead painted...

got it durdy and very wet yesterday :D
got it up on the ramps and pressure washed out my share of dorset then gave it a good wash top side today:D

got to put the road wheels & tyres back on after lunch

well it was'nt today it was yesterday, put a 2in lift kit on my disco and changed all the bushes with a poly bush kit, and also fitted caster correcting radius and trailing arms, next on the list is a sump guard, fuel tank guard, rock sliders with tree slides, snorkel with a wading kit and a set of flexi wheel arches as the wheels that i fitted are wider than the wheel arch with 30mm wheel spacers.

Ah gave me bulkhead a wee rub down and gave it another coat of paint. Then ah took the air vent flaps off the white bus and gave them a coat of primer, while havin' one or three Stellas... like ah needed thum!!
;):D:D

Not in my landie but been to Tong offroad centre today for a training day with the Response Group. had a great day been ferried round in the Delica I helped fit a lift kit to, the other day. was actually quite surprised how wel it handled considering it's longer and higher than a Disco. and it was on road tyres. But still managed loads of Blue routes and only had to be towed out once and that was cause he got cross axled.

finished off power steering, fitted new fuel tank and pipework, fitted radiator and hoses and fitted new downpipes and y piece, also finished rose arch by front door so kept mrs happy

You've fitted a rose arch on ya landies front door?? wtf yu wanna do that for? All the petals will fall off when ya take it off road!!
