V8 carb 110 - keeping it simple, indicators packed up. Tried hazard, worked once. Suspect fuses but caused by rain ingress. Parked it up as I don't have time.

Can anyone with rear wiper tell me where the switch normally is... can't find it on either of my 110s.
Hi I had similar fault with my 1987 90v8, the indicators packed
Up after a heavy downpour, found the fault was the indicator
Relay was full of water, it was situated behind the fuse box
Inside the cab on the gearboxtunnel/bulkhead.
I opened up the relay dried it out, remitted it and it worked
Long enough for the new relay to turn up.

would like to give bertha a wash and brush up,but nature is doing it for me,nothing needs doing,so feet up(for once)and a cup of char!!

This morning we set about sorting the vacuum pump on the Disco 300tdi, which has been leaking oil since the day I bought it. After some reading on here, we decided to take the pump off, drill out the rivets, clean it up and bolt it back together with a nice new gasket. What was odd was that after we drilled out the rivets on the top cover and opened it up, what we found inside were numerous bits of round(ish) metal (see pic) whatever had been in there had been there a long, long time, the casing and cover were lightly pitted and the bottom rubber gasket was worn away in places, the bits of metal had been rounded off smooth... We cleaned it up, put it back together and it all works fine and no more leaks, curious as to what we found inside tho, any ideas?

Yesterday, changed oil, & filters made a clamp for the roofrack. So it's held on with 2 clamps now . Moved the light bar back 4" as it was in the way of the front legs of the new rack. Must say it looks better with the lights only protruding about 1" in front of the rack. So they should be better protected when out laning.

On Friday I Acquired a almost new 5Tonne 3m Round sling. :D courtesy of National Grid...

I've been practising bodywork skills, I've rubbed down, filled, rubbed down again and primed my bonnet after it lost an argument with what looked like a weak overhanging branch.
Have realised I should either have filled and rubbed down more or left it to a professional!!!!

Phoned my insurance to get a new rear window thanks to ma 2 daft dugs. Well impressed !

Why what happened

they where all hyper at the possibility of getting of their leads like they do every day, jumping about and smash!..either one of the leads has flicked it or one of them's headbutted the brake light and shattered the window.

either way new window on route and inner window guard getting ordered tomorrow

Are right thought maybe someone had tried to get in your landy or something and the dogs had somehow smashed the window trying to get at them ;)

I have lost my cabletied gearbox mount and new one in place now lets see what it's like on the drive to work :D

Thought about it.... sighed a lot... and wondered if there is an easy way to clean off the underseal, grime, crap and waxoyl from the chassis before I send it off for welding?
