Found my convoy light on my ex-mod 110 when I was busy with my brakes. Tucked away in front of the fuel tank, painted black.

Cleaned a little of the paint off and it still works :) I was always a bit concerned in case it had been ripped out and the wires left to create a battery drain or short.

My mate's boss is away so we had a Landrover repair party in his workshop lol - cheapest service I've ever had! :)

Greased me nipples........ and hinges.

One of my UJs is worn, so i have some replacements to fit.

But i have just notice that the diff ends of the prop have UJs with a large clip on, and the transfer box end has normal circlips. ive bought 4 with the large clips.

Is there any difference? Am i going to have to send 2 back and get some different ones or something.

I just presumed they would all be the same :/

Also, I replaced all the bits in my handbreak apart form the tensioner screw and springs. but now the handbreak cable seem to be too long, and even if i fully adjust the two nuts on the cable it only just bites at the very highest point.

I have adjusted the tension thing so it just bites when the handbreak is off, and still it doesn't fully engage unless the handbreak is pulled all the way up.

is the arm on the expansion unit now too long so needs a shorter cable, or is the cable worn and stretched? I am puzzled, any advice much appreciated :)

Took me rear prop off to sort the rumble that stopped me bringing it to LZ10. Donut was a bit of a state. Swapped the prop for one of the ones Mark sorted me with as the bolt holes on the one I took off had seen better days.

Had to nip over me mates yard to knock the old seal out anorl.

All fitted and seems ok.

well, I`m still in no rush, but had to jack up one side of me disco to get under and fit the flywheel timing pin in place, while I was under it, I thought its time to change my steering damper for a new one.. while under there, I greased my front prop u/j`s and slider nipples.
earlier took out my non functioning oil light switch, was a pain at first, but made it easy by welding an old socket into a box spanner that was a good fit on old & new switch..doddle job after that, oh, timed my injection pump in readiness for the new belt (when I feel like it)
in between this, talking to my 76 year old neighbour on his shed roof re roofing it !!!! lol
and adding a few bags of new compost to my well growing potatoes, fiddling and farting around my landie, it was another good day.....
I still have to take my time, as when I`m laying under landie, then get up, it feels like I`m ****ed...in a bad way..... lol.. ;)
still, I got time...........

Well had a busy day serviced my mother in laws gaylander. fitted my side exhaust on my 90. and had to rescue my father in laws disco ended up being a piece of rubber in the fuel pump in the tank so he drove home from work a happy man and bought me a case of the posh cider Stella cidre so just sitting down with first bottle of the day I've earned it :beer2:

Steam cleaned the engine bay ...courtesy of turbo mans industrial size cleaner :)
Then renewed the injector harness ...no oil in the ECU ....sorted :clap2:

I've been over to Wales in mine to visit a friend near Newtown. We drove around a bit and got as far as Aberystwyth and Devil's Bridge. I've come home now. The car is positively flying along these days. Today's 400 miles was more or less effortless. Something is bound to go wrong with it soon. I don't trust this level of reliability.

Been at neils fitting lift springs, new turrets n bump stops
N sussing out where my gearbox is leaking from n topping said levels up as they where quite low!
Was good to meet Dave (nomad) and andy (andyd90) your help was most appreciated :D

Decided that I am getting too old to spend hours on my back underneath a Landy, even if it is to change the hub bearings in his Fender TD5!
