Yeh no worries!
That does sound like a rather good plan matey. Will have to start a new thred somwhere with that in mind!
Getting me timing belt done tomorow then having a crack at swapping cylinder heads over Thursday see how that goes!!
I've done the head gasket before so shud be fine.
I've been told the injectors can be a pain to remove if they've seated in well lol
retaxed my dear old disco, then for the cheek of it, put it through a posh car wash, so it came out all gleaming shiney black bless it.
stuck some derv in it £15 then tescos finest £9 for 10litres of cooking to mix it..
then just now, went for a ride around my town for the first time since they switched of most the street lamps from midnight till 5 am...now reminds me of holidays in cornwall
saw 4 or 5 cars, plus 5 police cars !!!! lol....
hardly a tourist in sight either....
Collected a chicken run in it .. Well, when I say in it, the front bit was, the rest was strapped to the rear door, front bulkhead and dogguard and on a bit of a prayer!
Got the timing belt changed, happy now it's done.
Changing cylinder heads tomorow.
Going to make a time-lapse photo every 5sec saw one on youtube of it thought it be good!!
Wish me luck lol..
Hoping to do it in atleast half the time it took them. 12hrs bloody hell what was they doing?? Lefty loosy righty tighty!!
Changed engine oil and filter, drained and refilled main gearbox, transfer box, diffs and swivels. I love the smell of EP90 in the morning
Fitted a few little bits I had noticed were getting a bit tired last year. Extension gearbox drain plug, and the little plastic filter that goes inside it.Changed fuel filter, greased propshafts and checked tappets.
Changed cylinder heads over, all gone fine. After watching videos of how to do it a number of times I'm still no wiser to setting the tappets. Is an arse on ye own as I can't see what the valves are doing. Awaiting a second pair of hands..
Changed the alternator on my P38 after the old one seized up solid, half an hour and all done, the easiest alternator i've ever done and i've done a few, although now the dash is telling me that the windows and sunroof aren't set but that's for another day
Thank god, nearly through a massive wobbler and spanners would of been going south. Waited for the stat to open and squeezed the rad pipes a few times and seemed to fix itself. Was worried as the temp gauge was sat on half and cold air comming out the heater, had to wait a while longer before stat finally opened and got some loovley hot air through the heater.
