Haven't done any repairs on it but have enjoyed driving it yesterday and today. I'm well impressed with the performance since being chipped. I do still need to shorten the wastegate linkage a touch though. Since chipping the west gate hasn't seized up once.

Would that be in Taunton or Western-supe-Mare?

I fitted an internal winch control yesterday and today I'm off to get stuck somewhere to test it. I bet I break something.

No fixing, but bid on some modulars up the road from me on ebay and was winning then lost because SHE wouldn't let me spend anymore on them £58 and they would have been mine! Then whilst driving this happened.

Ignore the broken trip gauge  :D

Headgasket on, timing done, various other bits fitted. Almost got the engine back in but looks like my DIY clutch alignment tool was a bit off so need to have another go at that.

Painted me chassis as was fed up with the sight of surface rust.
Got everything ready to change me cyclinder head overr

Drove home in the early hours down country roads after a fab party (didnt touch alcohol at this one!) and was chuffed as a chuffed pleased thing on national happy day to use new roof bar lights and headlights! made the twisty drive great fun, FAB well worth the effort of fitting them...:)

finally got round to fitting n wiring the dash......

What gauges are they?! I needs to get me some of those I thinks.

they are from a company called McGill motorsport on ebay... £18 - £24 ish per gauge with all adaptors etc... I went for the black smoked LED but they also do similar in plasma which do a full sweep start up routine... very chavvy lol... im running oil pressure, oil temp, mixture, exhaust gas temp, turbo boost, water temp, voltage ... just need a matching fuel now

even came with a 3 way adaptor so u can use original oil light switch as well as pressure n temp

Driven it for the first time in over a week. All good... Started first time and what a difference the egr delete makes!

Also did me bit to help a fellow landy owner. Donated a set of used d2 airbags to a chap whose bags had failed. Might be bringing him on LZ10 with his wife n kids!

Dunno where that went, so I'll post again.

Painted the battery compartment with Hammerite Dark Green. Not the best of paint jobs, but I'm happy with it. Ready to fit my nooo battery and tidy up some of the wiring.

Before

After

Started welding rear cross member/chassis and found very little to weld to:(
Corrosion worse than it looked, chassis rotten from inside and would be unsafe for towing even when welded up.

So will have to start taking it to pieces and order a new chassis:(
