Ah've just bin takin' some bits and pieces off the white bus to see what holes need drillin' on the new bulkhead the past few days. Tonight ah took off the door checks and drilled a couple of holes then marked the top mount for the wiper motor. Got mesel' some nice shiny stainless nuts and bolts for the various parts that need fixin' tae it the other day. Apart from that ah've mainly driven the green bus every day;):D

Adjusted the Swivel Pin Preload... (about time, I've been keeping under 60 cos of the steering vibration!), New ball joint and new front disc guards.

Bought a steering guard! Well, girlfriend bought it for me.

Tis valentines day and all, plus I told her I had no money cos me hours been cut back at work!

So no present for her, new steering guard for me! Win win!

I put my steering guard on wot I bought off eBay for a £100, in fitting the steering guard I found my number plate holder was rusty as hell, so I repainted that as well. Then ripped out the cubby box to see if my overdrive had a speed sensor fitted, which it does so that's saved me over £90 and I can now order the wiring loom to connect the flippin thing. Then fitted my audio jack cable into the cubby box ready for my iPlod. A good day and she looks great, ready for the inaugrial RTV next weekend. looking at the ttres though... hope it's not too muddy as they are knackered!

blown some wind in the tyres, changed filler tube to tank, were cracked rubber, looked at wiring , one cylinder on back drums, bled , enough fer one after noon as am off all week too.

Collected some more of that rubberised paint from Stokes, only this time with extra granules. My god. it was like bloody treacle. Gave the interior a second coat with it.

Topped up the gearbox oil, (at last).

Ordered the last of the parts from my local LR dealer, which I will collect tomorrow.

Fitted my new throttle cable.

Realised that the parts that I had got for my headlamps are the wrong ones.

Got the length of waste water pipe ready to box in my rear wiring loom.

Arranged for it to be waxoiled later this week.

Still to do;

Actually box in my rear wiring loom.

Tidy up the two front wiring looms.

Fix both headlamps

Fit new bonnet cable

Replace interior

Plasma cut deeper holes into my rocksliders for a decent fit for the Jackall jack.

Just got in from garage after fixing the wifes disco 2s back door lock and the passanger door handle . Why does every think go at once, just got the n/s rear suspension air bag to do.Then i can start on mine before the mot

Still not ready but just the ECU to connect up and the engine bay wiring. It's a red 'H'reg 1.9 gti with full leather interior and faded paint. It's my next job after the land rover.:)
