'Keyed' the entire florrpan that was painted with karust yesterday and added a layer of Hammorite primer, ready for the top coat to go on tomorrow.

Added another layer of 456 to the areas of the roof that need repainting.

Jet washed the disco this afternoon after playing at core 4x4 the weekend .At least a wheel barrow load of clay came off.Went to challanger 4x4 in tongham to get new exhaurst,and pick up some front light guards i won on ebay.
 
Guess I'll be having a go at mine tomorrow...
Use a 'G' clamp and a worn out brake pad to hold one side in whilst you pop out the other side. If they dont come fully out you can tap them with a hammer first one side then the other and they can be wriggled out like that. Be clinicly clean and use white spirit to clean things up, dip the new bits in brake fluid before fitting, the retaining rings are very flimsey so be very careful. :)
 
Well, I'm getting sick to death of it being too bloody cold to paint.

The rubberised paint that should dry in 1 hour still hadn't dried after 24 hours, and the bit of 456 that I sprayed on yesterday evening reacted badly to the cold so I had to do that again this morning.

Also, NEVER, EVER get carried away filling in all the holes in your Land Rovers floor, and end up filling them all in like I did......

Only to realise when you come to re-fit the interior, that you have welded up the holes for the rear seat bolts. DOH!

I had to re-drill them, and then spent the rest of the bloody day fannying around trying to get all the bolts and captive nuts in place. DOH!

Only to realise that to get on of them in place, (even after I had shortened it), requires either my fingers to go on a crash diet, or remove the bloody exhaust. DOH!




Oh, and I also collected the windscreen top rubber strip from Gordon Lambs and tidied up some more of the wiring.

Too right.

Still to do list;

Finish tidying up the wiring
Replace all trim
Replace windscreen rubber
Replace door seals
Finish exterior paint, (about 4-5 coats left)
If it isn't too cold tomorrow, then I will, if i have time, paint the interior floor with the rubberised paint stuff, but it requires an ambiant tempriture of over 3'oC
 
hooked trailer up , but tools in , got phone call to say not to bother, took everythin out , noticed that ther were a minor bald patch on 2 back tyres, not a mark on the front ones, gorra look at brakes tomorrow , always fookin something
 
over the last two days i have:
welded up the N/S of the chassis
made new rear axle brake lines
made new front to rear brake line
welded up the seat box
prep'd the drivers footwell for welding
prep'd the center cross member for welding
prep'd the rear cross member for welding(ends split due to recovering a 90)
started the wiring for the rear lights
 
Annoyed the good burgers of Epping by chugging up snow covered hills without a slip while they struggled to drive feet with wheels spinning!!!!

Snow now stopped and it sounds like its raining!!! Floods to play in tomorrow!!!
