took the old landy out for its first trip since getting the tax sorted.
took it for a good blast over to a mates and got the injector pump "tweaked"
its now pulling way better now, no more struggling in 4th and 5th on anything other than flat or down hill :D

Since my eye is healing well I fitted some dark smoke wind deflectors, look really nice!

Also got another 54w Cree LED Light but cant decide whether to have three on the front or two front, one rear. :D

I have a 1990, 200tdi. 110 defender. Anyone know how you can tell if I have 10" or 11" rear drum brakes without having to take the wheel off an measure them. I'm feeling lazy and its cold out there.

Found out. 10 inch drums are on the Defender 90 and 11 inch on a 110.

Took both axles off the scrap Disco

And the clutch master cylinder and steering box and turrets and some other bits.

Fitted some new windscreen washers, much better than the original single jet type. Whilst the dash was out fitted my volt gauge and wired it in. Then thought it sensible to replace the snapped alternator belt. Gauge shows just under 14v. Booty.

Removed Wolf wheels and fitted some toy Disco alloys:)

hopefully have it back by the morrow so I can insulate it this weekend!

Vinnie,

Did you not fancy fitting it yourself?

Bluehaze if I had the time I think I would of, but to be honest after working all day (sometimes spannering on the CRARRVS and MAN SVR,S) I want to relax. An if I rushed it and fooked something I would be raging.

So garage it is, they sort I pay and I'm happy. Same story with my gearbox last month just aint got the time....Gives me time to sort out my headliner wea a beer at night .....thread to follow:D

Yesterday, valve clearances and my cousin finished carpeting the back and I changed from pads. No dramas for a change.

sat and made a list of whats left to do on my project, its nearly an a4 page long

oh well its not like weekends are for relaxing anyway
