Had two new Yokohama G95's fitted to the rear & put then put the 'old' G95's on the front as they still had 5mm left on them. I took the loose wheels in with 30 psi written on the tyres as a hint to what pressure should be in them & they still managed to put 37 in one & 34.5 in the other :rolleyes:.

Fitted a new intercooler hose (intercooler to inlet manifold) that I picked up at the LR show last month.
It was a genuine item in it's bag although not sealed, I googled the p.no to check it was the right one. It was the right shape but to long so I had to trim it & the bit I cut off will be enough to do the short hose the other side of the air temp. sensor, strange but I'm not complaining for a fiver :).

After 18 months of being off the road, finally got it MOT'd and taxed :) ... for once, paying £340 to Her Majesty's Government didn't seem to hurt so much.

With all the smoking and fuelling problems I've had while its been out of action my heart sank as I set off to the garage this morning. I'd let the engine warm to 88C, as I noticed the 2k misfire seems to go once the engine was hot. So thought, give it its best shot. But putting the engine under load going up 1/2 mile hill about 200 yards from my house, and it kicked out a massive lot of blue/white smoke. Oh **** I thought, I can't even drive into the garage like this. But as quickly as the smoke appeared, it just stopped. I drove at 3k for the next 3 miles, and no smoke at all. And when it came to testing it sailed through the emissions test.

So no advisories, and I can drive it again. Getting it sorted was largely thanks to all the great advice and valuable information on this forum! Thanks.

Right, how long 'till the next clonk, or vital job to rear its head.
 
Over the past winter I've been both frustrated and puzzled by the poor heat output from the FL1s heater. Temp' hasn't been great and the demist function has been similar. So today I decided to investigate. I had given the heat and ventilation controls a right shake up about a year ago when I installed a replacement radio antenna lead and thought I maybe dislodged one of the two cables. I found those two small cables tricky to trace out - unscrewing the passenger air-bag I was able to see the red cable - all ok as far as I could see. I looked at the temp' adjuster cable and that too moved freely. However I found that the vent pipe just above the left foot had been dislodged and wasn't connected to the heater 'box'. An easy fix reattached and secured with a piece of duct tape.
 
So long as you leave one thing broken, you should be fine ;) LOL

So, never to disappoint, after going out on half a dozen trips yesterday with its newfound freedom, I had the MIL indicator come on twice as I turned the ignition off. - So I have myself the ongoing gremlin. I noticed that on both occasions before the MIL came on the vehicle seemed to run on for about a second. So when I next started, the MIL was there, with a DTC of "P1195 Fuel Pressure Regulation Valve. Power Stage Failure".

Otherwise running ok, but something now to watch for and a little warning I may not be out the woods yet.
 
Replaced the parking sensor speaker… now the parking assistant is fully functional again. Honestly, it is enjoyable to be able to fix so much so easily. Only pain in the ass is having to import almost all the parts to Norway and having to wait for them to reach me up here in the north.
