Cleaned the EGR valve, which wasen't as clogged as I thought it would be, fitter a Synergy 2A tuning box plus a new MAF and dashboard switch - It's improved the preformance but I still feel there's something missing...Might try a new Turbo Boost Solenoid next

Fitted new genuine(ish) o rings to my aircon system after replacing the condenser and receiver. Found out that part number juu100300 has been discontinued by landrover and nobody has any of them. Had to order a bulk load from an o ring manufacturer just to get hold of one! If anybody needs one i can stick them in the post haha. They're a tight fit but do go in nice and snugly so with a bit of luck my aircon will be leak free and able to be charged up again!

While working on it though i noticed my engine mount wasn't quite straight. Bit of a closer look and some fiddling and i noticed the whole engine had sunk to rest on the undertray and this was because one of the engine bolts had snapped, the other was bent and ripped some threads out the mount on the side of the engine block. Refused top drive it in that state so i'm going to need a new kku106150 mount and bolts.

The car has juddered from standstill ever since it had a new clutch 2 years ago. Looks like fitting the new polymount on the lower tie bar has caused the engine to try and rip everything apart when it's juddering so now i have a lower tie bar with a crack in it and some snapped engine mounting bolts. Fun times :(

Fitted a new VCU & bearings last night. Re-did my one wheel up test and results posted in VCU Torque test results.

How does it drive? Well I've been used to driving my FL1 as a FWD and fitted the old stiff VCU to get a WoF [our version of a MoT]. With this new one there is a bit of stiffness when turning the wheel while moving off. But I can idle forward and reverse on lock without any throttle. The average time for the OWUT is 17.33 seconds [ 45º to horizontal]. The old one took nearly 2 minutes!

Also replaced the gear lever rubber gather / shroud.

Fitted a dashcam..

Tidied up under the bonnet now I've figured out what's going on with the cooling system:

Sunlight makes the colours a bit off, but I don't mind.

Legitimately impressed with the following stuff:

It's the laziest deep shine stuff I've ever used, I'll be buying a load more when I can get round to it.

Shined up the old crate a bit with it:

Wow - I like that! time for some beautification perhaps.

Redid my auxiliary fuse box in the boot instead of under the dash, then attempted to tint the glass. Sides went ok but tried shrinking the rear and got a bit happy with the heat gun.

Placed order for some more film...

Bought new number plates after some low-life scumbags decided to steal them and put them on their vehicle so they could break into a van parked along the road.
But what is really a p1ss-take is that they put them on a Vitara.
The shame of it.

Stuck a for sale sign on her and positioned her at the bottom of the lane AGAIN! :)

The rear was such a pain. Attempt one was done outside in the wind and it went terribly. Attempt two and i took the glass out to do it indoors but like yourself i messed up with the heatgun. Going to do attempt number 3 once i move house as it looks pretty terrible at the minute!
