Drove it to work, found out I have a slow leak in one of my recently fitted tires... Also drop links are knocking again!! 3rd time replacing them!

Fitted my shower cover. Although i was initially excited about it I am now not too sure.
A bit like getting a new puppy because it's "cute" then swearing about it for the next 6 months as it ****'s/****s everywhere and steals all your shoes
I think it looks a little daft, and I carry tools in my boot all the time and am slightly worried about the security (or lack of)
I shall give it a test run of a week or so and if I don't get on with it then I'll sell it

...changed the light bulb behind the clock display...2 Euros and hey presto, job done.
Then a little check given to all fluid levels, viscous coupling (just the "disallignment" visual test, although I know for someone it's not valid...but our VCU has been fitted 40.000 miles ago and there are no signs of braking when turning, signs on tires -never been mismatched in 15 years- so I assume it's still healthy, am I right?) and rear differential bushes (fitted last November...Britpart ones...that's why I check them regularly).

Just sorted a squeak from the near side rear wheel. It's been driving me mad I figured it was a broken abs ring or wheel bearing rubbing but after checking these and both being fine I was stumped, so stripped the drum off thinking that it could be a duff shoe or broken spring but no....
Turned out to be the handbrake cable has been replaced in the past and wasn't fitted into its clip inside the drum and was just rubbing against the back of the hub enough to polish the surface
Result no expensive parts needed

On mine they had fitted LH spring on the RH side and vica versa and it did unclip. Cant remember which color on which side. But you should check that,

The one I bought has been completely stripped, so I could see it is rust free before parting with my hard earned
The handle on mine is starting to come away at the opening end and when I looked I could see the door is quite scabby around the handle mounting point which is pushing the handle away from the door itself

did a 440 mile round trip 99% motorway. M1 then A1(m) so mostly 70 but some 50 mph.
first real test of the cruise control, very happy with it made the long trip more comfortable being able to move my right foot and not having it locked in one position.
also run the first tank of diesel rhino (X3) so not a lot to report on how its doing. will wait and see.

Repaired it in a car park.... Drove from Essex to Glastonbury. Got half way and realised that the power kept dropping substantially, and kicking out a lot of black and grey smoke, to a point where I needed 2nd gear to go up a very slight incline.... Kept it going to Glastonbury , opened up the bonnet to find this 
Luckily around the corner from the car park was a landrover scrap yard!! £2 for the pipe and 10min to fit! Yay!
Got home with perfect drive! Other than everynow and then when I put my foot down it kicks out black smoke, but I'm hoping that will clear soon
